I have been watching the Romo departure and the statements about Moore being the backup..

Really?

I can't get my mind around it at all.

A 4-5 year journeyman player is the best we can do?

If RGIIi is healed and can play..

Why would we need bring him in to see what he has?

Our offense is really ideal for him and it matches his style of play.

Health is the problem..

But if he is backing up..

That means he will not be depended upon for long stretches of play unless something happens to DAK...

Opinions..?

I don't believe RG3 is ready to be a career backup yet.
He wouldn't be a good fit if he always thought he should be the man.
After all he labeled and marketed himself as RG3!

I don't want to see Kaepernick near a Cowboys uniform. I'd rather see Kellen Moore than have a non-Patriot on America's team.
Don't want to side track it, but to say him not kneeling during an anthem to protest is non-Patriot is dumb. He's done more for charities and causes he's believed in than most. Soldiers faught for peoples freedom to not have to kneel, this isn't a dictatorship. And standing for the anthem has never been about supporting or not supporting the armed forces...atleast not up here in Canada.

Anyway, RG3 has a huge ego, I just don't see him taking a small contract to be a backup. Plus I don't think he could help groom Dak in any positive way

Go ahead and be a "internet bully" and call my opinion dumb if you'd like, but where I come from we have more pride and honor. I simply stated my opinion. When you've had family member die to also give another man the right to make millions playing a child's game.. you'd prob see it differently. Eitherway, I agree with you last statement.

RG3, Kellen Moore, Ryan Leaf, this organization still doesnt understand the back up qb position while having a coach who knows about being the back up. Theres no standard we wont drop to either.

He's a million times more talented than Moore, but a 10 cent head. God for a guy that looks like he weighs 160 pounds, he just won't or can't avoid contact and get hurt.

I would rather have Ryan Fitzpatrick.

He is a proven quality backup that can play in this league. I believe he is supposed to be pretty knowledgeable and if he had to play for a few times, I have no doubt he could get the ball in the hands of our receivers.

He's a gunslinger but I would take that over someone playing not to lose.

Moore can competently run an NFL offense ie make line calls and adjust routes at the los followed by reading through his progressions and making the right reads. He does have a noodle for an arm but I would rather have that then vice versa like you see with RG3.

I'm with @robjay04 in wanting Fitzpatrick but he is likely to be too expensive. He is still on the market though.

None of you guys has this right. Linehan loves Moore and Linehan just signed an extension. The FO is going to go with Moore to be the backup
this season just like they were last season before his injury. You might as well wrap your heads around this because Moore knows Linehan's offense
and he's sold him to Garrett so there's no use crying about it now.
