Yes, yes you may certainly express your opinions and that right was paid for in blood. Just remember that your right to express them does
not preclude others who disagree with you to express theirs and dump on you all they want. It always goes both ways. That's true freedom!
no question about that thank you

As much as I admire Dak and his physical fitness, it only takes one hit to take any QB out for several important games in any given season. The Cowboys just should not be willing to risk that misfortune. (jmho)

IMhumbleO-Moore can be placed in the lineup during the season for a game or two and be as effective as RG3 or better, plus right now from Day1 he knows the system as well. On the other hand if it's a meaningful playoff game..... un-retire Romo!

I'll always root for Kellen, and I think he's smart(talked to him once or twice), nicest guy you'll ever meet. Used to do a bunch of anti smoking ads here in Idaho...but the QB with the most wins in college ever, is still like a Jason Garrett lite. Smart, will find the open guy, but can he get it there? Not sure. Rather have him than RGIII, though, he showed up for us in a few games before he got hurt. Would I like a better backup? Yes, but we could do worse.
If the club could get Fitzpatrick for a decent price and he wanted the role...he would be perfect for the Cowboys.

Personally I dont want RG3 anywhere near Dak. Dont need his bad habits rubbing off.
No worries niether RG3 or Kaepernick are coming to Dallas. RG3 is shot and will be lucky to get a job anywhere in the NFL.

The thing is Kellen Moore is OC Linehan's guy and that means a lot in who will be designated the backup. I think they are pretty set that this is the way it will be.

Probably can't even sniff him for reasonable money as he still sees himself as starter material. Moore will be fine for a couple of games if need be and if he's needed for longer the season is lost anyway. Dak going down for many weeks just means we will win the draft slot contest for next year.

Yep. Money is the problem with Fitz. He might , at his age, take the back up role...but he will want to be paid more than the Cowboys would or could offer.

Agree even more than I want to. If Moore is needed for more than a couple games you are probably right, the season is lost but a part of me would still love to see Romo come out of retirement and save us. It's hard for me to admit that that is unrealistic expectations and not likely to happen on so many levels.

Look, I can pull up a video showing they were standing in the 60's. Might want to get the facts right about that standing for the anthem part.

Edit: because I'm sure proof will be asked for, I'll go ahead and post it:

That's the superbowl, I meant regular season games. Stephen A Smith brought up the point,

https://sports.vice.com/en_us/highlight/stephen-a-smith-points-out-nfls-paid-patriotism-problem

Regardless of whether or not players stood for the anthem before, what Kaep did was never disrespectful of the armed forces, especially when he's already told us what he was challenging by doing it. You may have thought that's what he was doing, but he clarified. So why the hate? If forcing people to stand or vilifying (sp?) them is what people think the vets faught for, well then I feel like you guys may be twisting what they've done by serving. Again, this isn't a dictatorship.

Some snobby old white folk took offense because "what can a rich black kid have to complain about?", even though he was talking about colors in general, not him (which is more patriotic, Imo). So what better way to make sure no one else starts doing this? Tell em he hates the troops! And people ate it up for whatever reason.

This is the last I'll speak of this, again, I'm taking it off topic like I said I wouldn't. Sorry OP

Idiot uneducated comment. The national anthem has everything to do with the military.

Yeesh, who cares. Wasn't the point anyway. I'm not American, so I wouldn't know. The Canadian and most Europeans anthems are about country

No to both. I would hate to see either disgrace the Cowboy uniform!
I would think that someone like Kaepernick expressing his right to dissent would be a good thing. How is Kaepernick "standing" on principle worse than Hardy, Joseph Randle or Josh Brent or the other jackasses we have who love pot more than football?

do you think it's silly he didn't even vote? In any event, I don't think CK uses good judgement with his play either not to mention him and the Dallas Cowboys (aka America's team) not being such a great match.

Rather Moore than RGIII as well
A very small part of the electorate votes. Republicans, Democrat or independent that doesn't matter.

Saying he isn't a patriot because he doesn't share your views flies in the face of what makes this country great. And it makes one an ironic hypocrite.

Millions care and you are just showing your own Canadian ignorance. I won't presume to speak for what the Canadian or European anthems stand for because I'm not Canadian or European. Likewise you need to stand off what my American anthem stands for. American exceptionalism seems to be lost on the rest of the world until you need a dictator expelled or you get devastated by a natural disaster and then who do you call to... the USA. And we always answer my sending our best... the American military. The humanitarian causes that the American military is called upon to address by the rest of the world is second to NONE.

Dude has talent.

I saw him throw a pass at a receivers feet that created a divot akin to using a golf club.

Sorry, I didn't mean it to come across so rash, I sort of rushed through a reply while at work. But the NFL didn't even have players stand for the anthem until a few years back when the Army paid the league to have players do it, to look more patriotic.

What Kaepernick did was never meant to dishonor the armed forces, people just started that rhetoric because it's easy to get the masses on their side when you say someone is trying to disparage the men and women fighting abroad. He was soley pointing out the US wasn't doing enough to stop discrimination against blacks, something no one can deny. I've never been a Niners fan or cared much for him, but I appreciated he tried to do something to bring his point across

I mean people like Trump are glad he's still unemployed because of this rhetoric, even though Kaep has spent a lot of money towards charities, and imo is a lot more patriotic than that draft dodging, silver spoon fed coward.

^^^
This. Plus, if Dak gets hurt, with Kaep we still have a chance to win the game. I'm also cool with maybe Fitzpatrick because we would have a chance to win with him too. Moore is not the answer.

The point is to win the game.
