Two other teams did it Sunday but were unsuccessful. There is quite a bit of technique/skill/timing involved despite what you think. If it was a simple as just pushing the D line back at the snap, every team would be successful at it.
The fact two other teams tried Sunday means others will also follow suit. Eventually other teams will get proficient at it; this has always been a copycat league.

At that point I guess we will have to wait and see if something is done. Because to me it is unfair, but there is also a safety issue for defensive players as Sherman points out.

So I was watching this play the other day very carefully. So while the defensive linemen are engaged you have a second guy diving at their knees, I thought this was penalty. It's literally the o line chop blocking the entire d line.

I have really only seen the Eagles do it. Other teams might not want to expose their QB to a huge pile up, others might not even practice it.

The NFL created a penalty for removing your helmet because other teams' feelings got hurt when Emmitt Smith did it after scoring touchdowns.

But the Eagles can do something palpably unfair that impacts the outcomes of games and all it gets from the league is a collective shrug. And a corny nickname.
Sorry for the music and the agenda of the video narrator, can’t find a better one that displays the correct footage/statistic

The problem becomes that it isn’t unfair in general terms when you look at what the league averages are per team. So if it does get banned, it will be specifically to stop Philadelphia from doing it and not to fix an issue with the other 31 teams

Agreed the neverending victim mentality of some of our fans gets tiresome for sure
I mean, I get that people use sports teams as avatars for their own lives or whatever, but jeez. At the least the people who are mad at the front office all the time have a point, lol.

Lets not forget that the reason they banned the removal of the helmet after Emmitt was because it caused delay....soooooo....there was no delay when they grandfathered in the Lambeau Leap??? Haha. So why couldn't the grandfather in the Kettle Jump on Thanksgiving? Duh....because Cowboys were doing it.
