Rico absentia?

Nobody is going to sign him to their 53 but I have no doubt multiple team will try and lure him to their practice squad telling him that they present a quicker path to a 53 man roster due to less depth than Dallas has. I think it could be an easy sell if he remains 5th or 6th on the depth chart. I don't think players much like it to be drafted late by teams who don't want to compete for them after the draft and have lots of depth at their position. Witten isn't going anywhere, Hanna just signed a three year deal, Escobar has another year or two, and Swaim was just drafted last year. Not a lot of room for him anytime soon unless he blows up but I'm sure there are teams where he could have been #3 if he would have had all offseason and camp with them.

I don't get all the Rico gathers love either. Don't get me wrong, it would be great if he develops but right now he's just a poor man's Escobar, who is a poor man's jimmy graham. So he's really a poor poor jimmy graham.
