Rico Dowdle should've been getting majority carries

Aaand hopefully we don't re-sign him. Good story but this draft is deep and we can't afford to spend money on an RB with three season ending injuries in his history
Why not sign him for something reasonable if he'll take it but he might get Pollard money from some dumb team.

Dowdle needs to be the back up, he only looks like gold to us because everything else we have is trash

Every throw Rush made was awful and most runs Rico had were big time plays. So why did MM get pass happy?

Rico 18 carries, 131 yards
Rush 16/31 for 183.

Just awful.
Seriously…..only 18 carries when he’s averaging like 7 a pop, and letting inaccurate Rush throw 31 times? This coach is dumb.

I like Dowdle's vision. He doesn't just run into back of his linemen like raggedy Zeke. He seems to find holes really well. We definitely need another legit guy at RB though.
Vision is SUPER important too…..one of the main reasons Emmitt was so good, best vision in the backfield In the league.

That logic doesn't make sense. He should be doing bad as a running back if everyone else around him is trash.

Dowdle has been excellent and is the biggest bright spot on offense this year. He is a really good running back who has improved each year. Whatever injuries he had seem to be behind him.

Honestly, not sure what else he would need to do to earn his spot for next year. If we draft a running back in Round 1 I am going to be very dissappointed- RB is the least of our issues.

Jerry and Stephen have been making the calls. Mac won't say anything and that's why Dak hinted at it

After the debacle against Cincy, I'm on team Lose Plenty for Jeanty. I'd keep Rico as the change of pace back, and Luepke. Get rid of all the rest and sign a cheap vet for 4th RB.

Dallas needs a WR2 way more than Jeanty. What would Jeanty have done last night that Rico didn’t?

Rico might be pricing himself out of the Cowboys budget. Would they tag him for a year? I would assume he is probably at least in James Connor territory with a new contract, maybe more if he can continue this pace for a few games.

Our "stars" are very often replaced by "jags" yet the team performs better. People really need to start to watch these games with some perspective or at least just admit you are a fan of the individual player over the team.

Dowdle has No Burst, he's like Zeke a Avg back at best
He's way better than Zeke and it's not even close. Zeke is nowhere near the level of an average back. He is only here because it's another mistake Jerry refuses to admit he made.

But I agree dowdle is an average back. He's solid and will get what's available. But he's not going to normally get much more than what is there. He would be a good backup next year after drafting a more explosive back.

They chose to sabotage the offense by pretending Zeke was on Rico's level early in the season.

It's really that simple.
So would that mean Dak was sabotaged from the beginning? Just trying to understand before I'm accused of defending Dak or this offense, wondering why the OL was blocking for a change, why there's balance in the offense more, why there's no mystery illness now, why there's still a propensity to revert to pass happy when Dowdle feasting, why the playbook is watered down now, why there's only one WR. Lots of wondering. As for Zeke.....he ain't the problem, he is a result of the problem. Thanks Jerry and Mike.

McCarthy went run crazy like he had Tom Brady out there instead of running and getting in Field Goal range. Was plenty of time left too.
