Not gonna lie, I knew the RB position was going to be trash once they started saying "committee" all of that was to appease Zeke and there still doing it. Zeke has no business on the field for this team. Rico was hands down the best RB on the roster, and that was known in April, so why drag this whole thing out and suck for half a season running the ball.
Ego. Everything in this franchise is about ego. Mainly the Owner's.

And if he's fond of a player: their ego as well. Coaches who back their ego-driven decision making? Generally insulated from their own criticisms.

The Dallas Cowboys are run like an insular cartel of mitigated accountability. It's good work if you can get it.

Not to rain on anyone's parade but Rico has been getting the majority of the carries since week 3. Zeke has had more carries in three games total this season and one of those was SF when Rico was out. You guys acting as if Zeke has been hogging carries need to just stop it. The line has just blocked better and the run defenses have gotten softer the last three weeks. Nothing more, nothing less. If we played a good run defense this week (we won't) we'd be right back to complaining about the running game. I guess another shift has been to McCarthy NOT forcing this rotation business either. No back wants to be constantly being pulled in and out of the game. I think that has helped the run game as well but the main thing is better blocking and crappier opponents. Fortunately for us, aside from Philly, we are going to be facing nothing but crappy defenses the rest of the way.

Jerry and Stephen have been making the calls. Mac won't say anything and that's why Dak hinted at it

Shame on Dak for alluding such. Shame on him. Now let's call Dak out for such. We know our Coach sits in the booth.

Seems so easy to blame Zeke instead of recognizing Zeke is a result of the problem........Front Office mandates, decisions, and indecisions. The Front Office has done so many things to contribute to the demise of 2024. BTW, the salary of our QB is the other smokescreen. Stay tune for a new Jerry mantra for the offseason. We heard "All In" and what that actually has reflected.

Numbers don't lie. Rico's 4.8 yards per carry is a stat you cant ignore. Pollard was at 4.0 ypc last year as a feature back. Its not a garbage time stat, like when a team is down 3 TDs and QB are passing every down, padding their stats. Also note he has done this with Rush as the QB for the majority of the season and he doesn't throw anything longer than 15 yards in the air (defenses know that he aint throwing deep). Who knows about Rico next year, but I do feel this year he was done a disservice by splitting carries early (although multiple sources said he was clearly the best back in training camp) and he has exceeded expectations.

Zeke has single digit carries in all but two games this year. He has 5 or fewer in 6 of the 12 games he's played in. Yet this brain dead narrative that he's been out there "hogging all the carries" still won't die. People need to switch their brains on ... but you and I both know they won't

Umm Rush has only started the last 5 games.. (out of 13) . Rico's increased workload can however be directly attributed to Rush because the Cowboys have wanted to throw less and run more to protect the backup QB.

You are correct. Rush has only started 5 games. What's your take on Defenses knowing that Dallas will run more to protect Rush? While everyone knows more carries are in store for Rico, to me its impressive that he can produce those stats.

Now we'll see if the OL is still bad or was that Cincy DL that was bad. Defensive Coordinators don't respect Cooper Rush's arm in any way, and our one WR lineup.

While we face lesser opponents, we will see if the running game can be more consistent......people don't understand attempts go a long way over yardage sometimes......the threat.......the balance. Derrick Henry, Saquan Barkley and QBs would have a problem with single digit carries for the RB or inconsistency in game plans, and minimal threats in an offense. Our scheme, OL play, WR/RB group, and inconsistency has been a disservice to this team, from the beginning.

My take is I'm really happy to see it for a number of reasons. First and foremost I'm a fan of the running game and would rather watch my team run for 200 yards than pass for 400 any day. Secondly Rico seems like a great kid. It's always good to see good guys succeed. Still there can be no denying that since Martin left the lineup there has been a noticeable uptick in the number of runs where the runner gets to the second level untouched. On Rico's 29? yarder the other night he was first touched at about 20 yards. That, my friend, is good blocking more than great running.
