I was trying to key on him in the second half but really only saw him in on a couple of plays. On one he went out for a pass but the pocket crumbled around Showers so nothing happened. On another, he went in motion from left to right and then dragged back across the middle to the left after the snap. The ball was dumped off elsewhere to the right and he tried to throw a block unsuccessfully .. tumbling until the whistle.

Did anyone see anything else? I sure would love to see him make a few catches... Dude is huge.

He got bodied hard and tossed to the ground on a play action roll out. Seems gangly, weak and unsure of himself which is to be expected. Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't make the practice squad.

I saw garrett spending some time with him showing him some stuff during warmups last night. Looked like he was showing him how to turn his hips and go after catching the ball.

Seems like a practice squad guy that you hope can make a big leap into next summer.

Rico Gathers – I honestly thought the coaches would give Gathers a few more opportunities after they barely utilized him in Los Angeles. That didn’t prove to be the case, as the rookie only appeared in a handful of snaps and didn’t register a reception for the second-straight game. Gathers did have an opportunity to throw some blocks in the running game, and he appeared to do a decent job sealing the edge for Darius Jackson on a couple of runs to his side of the formation. It was still hard to make much of a judgment on this appearance, and it’s hard to imagine Gathers will play much in the “dress rehearsal” game. He’s going to need to make the most of the opportunity he gets in the preseason finale in two more weeks.

That lead Dak put up was a disservice to pass catchers wanting to make the team at the bottom of the roster...and I think they are wanting to sneak him to the practice squad, so they will limit tape.

I focused on him blocking on a couple of second half runs and his technique was all wrong. It looked like he was trying to turn and seal his man without using his arms enough. Obviously wasn't very effective. I was hoping a dude his size might have some natural blocking instincts, but he's a total project.

Won't surprise me if Rico gets cut, straight up, no PS.

We shall see, but the guy has to really really be bad with no clue to get so few reps, even on running plays. You have to show something to even make the ps.

Yep. That's what I saw too. He definitely looks like a project. His size alone makes me a little excited. I hope he picks things up on the PS.

The coaching staff had to know he was this raw, so if they weren't willing to give him time to develop on the PS, why draft him?

hide and stash why? Dont think he will ever amount to anything he was a project that didnt work out
