I'm pretty sure he picked 2 yards because of the situation, it was 3rd and 2. He was basically saying that the previous 8 times this was ran, it would have resulted in a 1st down if used in this same instance all 8 times, those are pretty good results. 2 yards is always good if it nets you a 1st down.

I'd like to see the NFL's leading rusher and league's best offensive line get the opportunity to convert. I trust them more than a gimmick play run by an undependable bonehead who can't even be bothered to show up for work and be a professional.

It's terribly disappointing to see this team's playcaller repeatedly refuse to even attempt to run the ball on 3rd and short.

I do not have a problem with the play call, just the execution.

I do. The playcaller took the ball out of the hands of his proven playmakers and put it in the hands of a proven screwup. And that's what he got - screwup. Rather than the safer play, he chose to run one with a much higher chance of error. And error is exactly what he got.

This team's playcallers still repeatedly refuse to rely on their running game in crucial situations, no matter how often or how effective it continues to be.

They won't dare run the ball on 3rd and short, but they have no reservation about running trick plays that can easily blow up in their faces. That's what I have the biggest problem with.

A lot of folks and even guys like Broaddus are criticizing the calls to give Lucky the ball.

Let me remind all the critics here of a little history some are conveniently forgetting.

It's a big game and we are on the road in Lambeau field. We are backed up on our own 11-yard line and its third and one. 45 second remain on the clock. If we don't convert we punt and Rogers will only need 20 yards to put points on the board for the Packers.

What does Lineman do? He runs the ball...using Lucky Whitehead. WTH?

And the play nets 26 launching a lightning drive where we score 7 points.

If one or two of those mis-direction plays with Lucky work last night...everyone is praising Linehan. Instead--despite a win and 430 yards against a top defense--we have a swarm of critics piling on.

Give it a break people. The Lucky runs have actually been generally high percentage this year and they are instrumental in keeping safeties from crashing down into the box.

Fans/media: Good play calls = The ones that worked.

Fans/media: Bad play calls = The ones that didn't work.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the play calls involving Lucky.

The reverse looked good but was just not executed properly. I'm not sure if the hand-off was the fault of Lucky or Zeke but Linehan definitely didn't cause the fumble.
