That's not flip flopping. That's called changing your mind. I like what Garrett is doing here. I really like the results he is yielding. I only hold the Giants game against him. But even then, I never said I didn't like him. I know the guy is bright and knows his Xs and Ox. I give credit to Jerry as a GM for assembling what I think is a great coaching staff. I even like Wade Phillips. The players like him and they seem to be responding to him lately. Meaning: they can save his job if he wins a SB.

Having said all of that, 'flip flop' is a derogatory term that suggests one shouldn't be able to change his/her mind. Which is simply one of the stupidest things I can think of.

Seams like it's ok for you to change your mind about JG, but it's not ok to change your mind about Romo.

Somebody's prepping for a lot of backpedalling.

Not sure in what possible universe my point that this is a backpedalling thread can be classified as 'a swing and a miss'. Also not sure that any explanation is going to be very informative.

"Romocoaster" is just a way for fans to jump back on the wagon after they've jumped off and bashed him. It's a cutsie wootsie way of saying, "I was wrong and I admit it". LOL

As long as they see the errors of their ways and come back humble, they are welcome.

For one, I never hated on, "fired" or disowned Jason Garrett. I criticized him once for lack of running. Even then I made it clear I wasn't unhappy with him. The Giants game was not lost by JG. Additionally, I have made note of the fair weather demeanor of several posters who fire the coach and knee-jerk after every game. If you read that post and thread a little closer, with a little higher comprehension level, you'd know that.

Number two, the poster in that thread came out directly and said he was wrong--he admitted it. He did not hide behind some cute pun called the "Romocoaster". He made an admission, not a sophomoric pun in order to couch his flakiness of fandom to suit him as wind blows. There is a difference between coming out and saying you were wrong and saying I'm only along for the ride when things are looking up.

If you care to keep going, I'll gladly take you back in history as to my support for this team and it's current members including Romo and Garrett....

No they are not!

I really don't care for these fairweather guys who don't appreciate what they have.

And I'm not kidding!

And when it's Romo, the highs are much more frequent than they are for most QBs.
Yeah, give me a QB who wins 70% of his starts any day of the and twice on Sundays.

It's backpedalling. He is not making any sort of realistic analysis in his "realization". If he were, he'd make note of the other 32 imperfections that come with every starting quarterback around the league. The OP is backpedalling because he left his sack somewhere a ways back and now needs to go find it. Then he can simply say, "I was wrong and I admit it."

Every quarterback has his ups and downs. It comes with the territory, although the knee-jerkers would like to forget that, as well as their own analyses, and they'd rather couch the reality of this fact into punny terms of roller-coasters and merry-go-rounds in order to hide their initial delusional, sophomoric analyses.

Romo is playing lights out. And it's time for excuses from the fans now about why they were wrong.

I'm not going to argue with you anymore just to help you justify (in your own mind) your elitist status. Fact of the matter is that this thread is one guys opinion of Tony Romo that you talked yourself into believing is a Tony Romo bashing thread. If you honestly believe that Tony Romo's career so far has not been up and down, you have your head in the sand.

Okie Dokie.

Then answer me a question, from ostrich to ostrich. Which quarterback's career, currently playing in the NFL, has not consisted of ups and downs?

I'll be waiting....

I have no need to backpeddle. Hey, but don't feel bad though, you are not the only one that talked yourself into thinking this thread was a Tony bashing thread.

The thread is about Tony Romo and my opinion that it has been a wild ride so far and more than likely will be a wild ride in the future. It doesn't compare him to other QBs, it doesn't mention any other QB, and I make no allusions that he's any different than any other QBs.

Only thing I can figure out is that you're afraid of roller coasters I guess. Time for you to move on to actual Tony Romo bashing threads.

Oh, my, well I ought to just shoot myself in the foot. I thought this thread was about the '72 Dolphins; or maybe even the 2007 Patriots.... oh, wait, even that season ended with a huge down.

I guess I'm left with only one conclusion. Every team other than the '72 Dolphins has been riding this so-called "Romocoaster".

People place all the blame on Romo for our two losses but stop and think about. If our defense had made just ONE stop when they really needed to in those games then we would be undefeated. Romo is not perfect but he is a VERY GOOD QB.

I didn't think it was a bashing thread. I just think you have been riding an emotional rollercoaster off to the side while the rest of us have been enjoying a pretty straightforward season.

The fact that he's playing really well low has lulled you into thinking this was a good time for a make-nice thread. Fine. Just don't overreact because the rest of us haven't been in the cart next to you screaming and holding up our hands at the fun parts and generally experiencing the sorts of emotional stability normally associates with PMS week or schizophrenia.

When it comes to Romo I would like to see a plateau instead of all the peaks and valleys.

Really 1 bad game out of 7 if you ask me!

Could he have been better at Denver - sure but I don't think it was a "bad" game
He was horrendous in Denver. He's had 2 bad games (New York and Denver), 2 okay games (Bucs and Panthers), and his last 3 games have been great (KC, Atlanta, and Seattle).

I'm hoping he just had some stuff to work out at the beginning of the season, and the next three games are how he plays the rest of the year though. I honestly think he's going to have another Pro Bowl season this year.
