On previous threads about this matter, I have posted this:
Jones has told his children that if he passes before Johnson, they can induct him in the immediate future.
If Johnson passes before Jones- then Johnson will be inducted posthumously.
I like Ware...but his numbers were for the most part empty. I can't think of any "game changing" moments he made. And I do not think he deserves to go in over some of the DL from the 90's Super Bowl teams either.
All the talent in the world and soft as a down comforter.
He better not get into the Ring of Honor. That would be a disgrace and so would putting Romo and Witten in it as well. It's designed for winners and all three of those guys were the ultimate losers. I'm sorry.
Who’s giving him accolades for quitting? His accolades come from his success.Yes, but one was the boss and the other was the employee.....I don't blame Jimmy for walking away, but he doesn't deserve accolades for quitting.
He had plenty but for sure you remember in 2009 against the 12-0 Saints…..a week prior he was carted off on a stretcher….I like Ware...but his numbers were for the most part empty. Ware won when he wasn't on this team. "Soft" might be the worst descriptor I've ever heard for him.All the talent in the world and soft as a down comforter.

Jimmy brought as many SB wins in his short time here as Tom did in all his years, plus the team he built got a third two years later, with a coach who really didn't want to be here. He took a one win team to the SB in five years. He deserves to be in the RoH.I'm in the minority and I'm going to get bashed for it but I think the ROH has lost it's exclusivity. That's on Jerry. He wants as much showmanship and attention as he can get for the Cowboys and he has used the Ring of Honor to that end.
The ROH was supposed to be the alternative to retiring a player's number. They were supposed to be the icons of the franchise, the players that made a generational impact on the game.. These were the players responsible for making the Dallas Cowboys one of the elite in all of professional sports.
The ROH is supposed to be more exclusive then the HOF. Not only that, it was also entirely independent of the criteria to get into the HOF, it was from the perspective of the Dallas Cowboys franchise and not the NFL. It didn't matter what fans of the other 31 teams thought.
Before Jerry bought the team there were six members of the ROH that represented a period of 29 seasons in which the Cowboys had 13 division titles, played in 12 NFC championship games (if you include the pre-merger NFL championship games) and 5 Super Bowls. there are now 16.
In my opinion, there are only 5 or 6 in addition to the first six worthy of the ROH, only two of them from the Jerry Jones era..
I don't believe Ware should be in the HOF. Okay, he had a lot of sacks. So what? How did he change the game? What championship games did his play lead to? What iconic championship game or games did he become a difference maker?
I don't believe that Jimmy should be there. How long did he coach the Cowboys? Is his name forever linked to the Cowboys almost exclusively? What innovative ideas are still considered a staple to this day. Would he have been as successful without the Herschel Walker trade?.
When Tom Landry began coaching the new Cowboys franchise, they didn't even get a draft that year. Half of what you still see today in the NFL was invented by Tom Landry. There is offensive pre-snap motion, passing from the shotgun, the 4-3 defense, quality control coaches, etc, etc, etc.
The Ring of Honor wasn't designed to celebrate every Cowboy player with five or more Pro Bowls.
Are you his ex-wife or something? That was IT and shows he could have done that every game but chose not to.
Next. He shouldn't even be considered.
So, you agree that he's a quitterWho’s giving him accolades for quitting? His accolades come from his success.
Jerry has shown his true colors with this , and he is a vengeful jerk! He doesnt care about us fans either, just what makes him feel good.My feeling is, the way Jerry is dragging his feet, Jimmy may not get in until he is deceased. Just a gut feel I have. It saddens me. I see Jerry inducting Ware or someone else before Jimmy. I hope I am wrong. Who do you guys think gets in first, Jimmy? Ware? Or a wildcard player? Jimmy deserves better from Jerry. Its an ugly look not having him there. Give me your thoughts. I been stewing on this for a while and it just bothers me the way this has been mismanaged by Jerry.

Jimmy traded a valuable player brought in by the previous regime and that was the key to those three Suoer Bowls.Jimmy brought as many SB wins in his short time here as Tom did in all his years, plus the team he built got a third two years later, with a coach who really didn't want to be here. He took a one win team to the SB in five years. He deserves to be in the RoH.
Yes, Jimmy traded Walker for so much value...a brilliant maneuver nobody else would have thought to do, including Landry, obviously.Jimmy traded a valuable player brought in by the previous regime and that was the key to those three Suoer Bowls.
What did Tom Landry start with? Again, he didn't even get a draft to start his expansion team.
I love Jimmy but the point of the ROH was to remember the very special people that are synonymous with the Cowboys franchise.
.None of the inducted players prior to Jerry Jones ever played for another team.
HE had 117 sacks what do you mean that as it? First he didn't have any. There's no such thing as a meaningless sack unless you want me to believe he had 116 "Coverage sacks"....not with the secondary I witnessed. That was IT and shows he could have done that every game but chose not to.
Next. He shouldn't even be considered.
