***Rip on Romo Thread***

come on guys, he is who he is, we should not be surprised at this point. his idol IS brett favre! i think we really need a power running game! thats the reason we have never lost large leads like we have this year (both losses have been record breaking) in the past we have had power running games to run out the clock

Then that's garret's fault we are not playing tanner (our powerback) over choice.

Garret has shown repeatedly that he can not properly manage personal (IMO), even before he was HC.

Choice and Murray was actually running OK. Go look at my post above. It's JG who decided to call pass plays even when the run game was working.

38, 78, 51, 6(L). Sorry I disagree with you I guess. He relies on scrambling to keep the play going, he has much improved mechanics over the past years and I am impressed with his accuracy, but like I said, who has he really played? TCU? They just lost to SMU. So, if he keeps it going against Texas, OU, A&M etc. I'll most likely change my mind, but you'll just have to excuse me for not being impressed with wins against the like of SFA.
i was just shocked how convinced you were that he will be a bust. he is athletic, but unlike most athletic qbs, has very good throwing mechanics.

Cowboys fans are dumb. Big Time college program does not translate over to the NFL. How is that Florida career working for Tebow?
:laugh2: that guy dissappeared from the thread quickly after getting called out.

This team is much better from playing from behind...we DO NOT know how to play with a lead..its horrible

Just curious. Didn't we have 2 pick-sixes last season in Arizona too?

Tony Romo is basically our only hope until Ginger figures out a running game and clock management. I refuse to blame him.

Yeah, I agree. Garrett should have never thrown those 3 ints.

they are both working together to destroy this season.

They are not a good combination...and is Wade Wilson still the QB coach? That guy needs to be gone yesterday IMO, not doing anything. I think this year is pretty much done, we have a decent team and I can see 10-6 but we don't have the team to make a deep playoff run. IMO we are moving the right direction, very early but next offseason need to pick up a good, knowledgeable OC, shore up our Oline w free agent/stud draft pick, figure out what the hell we have at RB, shore up our glassy secondary, and pick Romo's successor. Romo with the right OC is probably good enough with a bit more solid team (esp line and running game) to get us there but put manning on this team circa 2009 and we are unstopable.

Could be worse. You could be an Eagles fan. :D

Thanks for that. What about the Vikes also.

My co-workers are brutal because they know I'm fanatic about the Boys.

This game should have been at least a 40 rush attempt game, especially when the home team is up 24 points. Eventually, a run or two or three will pop. However, Dallas let Detroit back into the game by abandoning the run and allowing Tony Romo to continue to throw the football into tight coverage. Unacceptable, imo. Tony Romo thinks he has to make a play on every play, I guess. Romo continues to demonstrate that he doesn't know how to manage a game in the NFL.

Jason Garrett has to shoulder some of the responsibility here, too. He has is thread, too. There is no excuse for allowing the QB and the offense to get too pass happy with a big lead. The Cowboys have to run the football with a big lead.

So what if they have 9 in the box, run the blasted ball. That is where Jason Garrett has to step in and make sure Romo doesn't implode. Detroit dropped Bobby Carpenter into coverage and suckered Romo, again. Romo did exactly what Detroit wanted him to do. Throw the ball to Barbie Carpenter...The pass on the slant was really tight coverage. You can't make that risky throw when you are trying to protect the game or the football, especially. It was 3rd and 2 at mid-field. The throw to Witten is inexcusable. Your team still has a 3 point lead...

Even if Felix Jones doesn't go out of bounds, he was going no where. Detroit had multiple defenders closing in on him, despite that one guy in front of him.

Why was the team in this position in the first place. Romo has to understand that points in the NFL come at a premium. Once you give away 14 points and set up another 7, you are completely hanging your entire team out to dry. Guess what, Sensabaugh got hurt, and that hurt the defense. It shouldn't have mattered.

Agree. Its much like Eli Manning. He sucked when he first started in the league and was a turnover machine. Gilbright comes in an learns how to call a game around what Eli can do and cant do. Sometimes Eli still chokes when asked to win a game and sometimes he actually delivers but the Giants call the game so that hopefully they dont have to roll the dice as to which Eli shows up that game.

When JG gets a set of big boy pants and learns that he needs to manage the entire game and the team as a whole...he will know that he will need someone else to manage the offense and help him from calling the game wrong.

His playcalling up by 21? lolololololol.

I fault Garrett for trusting Romo. I fault Romo for, well, being Romo. The guy is an unbelievable QB. I don't mean that in a good way.
