***Rip on Romo Thread***

The only ones you mention that have seen the playoffs are in their 3rd or 4th season. None have been in the SB. They may be in the future, but it is going to take them 4 or 5 seasons.

Dallas is up 27-3, what weight is on his shoulders???

ask the clueless ginger that keeps shotgunning it and who has no clock management skills.

Roethlisberger has what, two or three Super Bowls now? He's from Miami of Ohio.

Kurt Warner went to Northern Iowa.

At this point in his career, Romo is established and whether he succeeds or not has nothing to do with where he went to college 10 seasons ago.

My point is they face better competition then small school guys. Of course there has been a ton of big school guys who have been busts, but I will take my chances. Look where we are now with a small school QB still making mistakes after 9 years.

Because he's labeled a franchise QB. Theres always teams willing to spend on established QBs. Especially ones who throw for 4000 yrds and 30 tds

Sorry man but you're talking out of you're butt.

This is happening across the league.

Doesn't make it any better, but maybe 20 point leads aren't what they used to be? Maybe losing it isn't as much of a catastrophe as some want to make it out to be.

Don't get me wrong. I'm still pretty upset we are not 3-1 when we had the game in our control. This loss sucks. But it isn't the death knell on our season, either.

Sad reality, but where do we go? Rookie? I really don't think that would be too wise. We still have great players in their prime. Enough to make a serious run. Romo gives us our best chance. We are stuck with him, as depressing as that is to me.
It's not like we are a 1-16 talent team drafting for a starting rookie QB. This team can beat any team in the league with the talent we have. The main thing keeping us from accomplishing that is bone-headed mistakes that derail games. Most of those have been, and still are, coming from Romo. Sure he will win games, but he also loses them. In epic fashion. We need a QB that knows how to manage the game and can minimize mistakes. Good scouting and some draft position luck can find us that guy.

I know it happens. I just thought it was funny that this particular comparison would be made.

Its time to give up on the Romo Era. The kid just looks for ways to lose. Id give 2 first rounders and a Romo for Andrew Luck. He is that good.

I guess he looked for ways to lose the last two weeks too.

Fickle bunch we have here.

I'm excited. This is going to be a great season. Our offensive line is starting to come together. We've found a decent kicker. The defense is already playing well, but can still get better. We're 2-2 and we lost two games we should have won and won two games we should have lost. We're getting there. If only we can get healthy.

Once again it's over reaction Sunday and this post sums it up. Romo was bad today, he'll be good again, then bad again, the most likely good again. It's four freaking games, we just have to be in the mix at the end and take our chances.

By the way, what do you want him to do? Rant and rave and swear and kick things so then people can call him immature?

Bad post on a bad day. Move on.

I said this week 1. I don't see this team ever winning a Super Bowl with him.

Our 'crappy O-Coordinator' put up 30 points with this team that is still extremely banged up. All he asked is for his veteran QB to not make decisions and throws like a moron.

It never ceases to amaze me how people still blindly stick up for the guy.

Romo is like the blitz, you live and die by it. Somebody said it earlier he is Brett Farve.

You want to know why we can't win a Super Bowl with him?

Consistency.

You have to win at least 3 in a row.

........after reading ALL these posts I finally find the one sane voice about the defense: Hatcher was a GIGANTIC loss today. No WAY on God's green earth does Detroit come back if he's out there. I just watched it on DVR and Spears was the invisible man. Hatch being out along with Scandrick killed us. Add Miles and it isn't even close. Coulda, woulda, sure as hell shoulda: story of Romo's( and this team under him) life.:bang2:
This is a reason for optimism going forward. If we ever get to full strength we will be a pretty formidable foe.

I wouldn't mind seeing Detroit again. I think we can get em next time.

I am not against trading Romo, especially after today. It is sad, because after halftime, I was prepared to come on here and sing praises of Romo, thinking he had finally gotten over his own hump. Boy, was I in for a surprise.

Many rookies have come into the league on decent teams and have had immediate success. I believe we can still win with the right rookie QB in place.

So what's your argument? If you don't get to the Superbowl within your first 3 seasons, you're definitely worse than Tony Romo?

Stick Stafford, Bradford, Matt Ryan, etc. on this team and we probably don't miss a beat.

I'd like to see Garrett work with and develop a young promising QB. I think Garrett would be pretty good at it.

I'd prefer it happen sooner than later, but I don't see it happening sooner.

People need to realize that this isn't just this season. If this was Romo in his second full season I'd chalk itg up to a guy learning how to cut mistakes. He does this EVERY year. And every year we are all enamored with his guts or his great games but in order to be a real challenger you need a guy to but the crap and win a Jet and Lion game and not lose it. The reality is the NFC will come down to a game lead for a division or WC and these games kill it. It is like when we were trying to sneak in 3 years back and had the Ravens on the rope until he started forcing it to Ed Reed. The guy just makes bad plays that negate his good ones and chances at glory down the line.
