***Rip on Romo Thread***

Surrendering? So now when I'm bothered by a loss I'm surrendering?

Okay fine. I'm elated that we lost a game like that.

Does that mean I'm now hopeful and a true Cowboy fan?

lol, you respect or don't respect people "more than they can imagine" based on what they say about a football team on some internet board? thats kind of corny bro.

Maybe JG just needs to re-read his notes from Jimmy on what plays to call to finish a blow out. Apparently he's got notebooks full of the stuff...it'll save the trip and some jet fuel.

Oh no, Hostile might not respect us if we think this team has some major problems...whatever will we do with ourselves, we are so unworthy. Seriously, get over yourself.

Seriously...never be a spectator to stupidity as homers whistle past the graveyard...lipstick on a pig..all that stuff... LOL

It does, congratulations, you will have to file your paper work with zrin, but once hostile approves you are basically in.

Respect is earned. If I have any it is for my knowledge of the game. I do not care who likes my opinions or not. I don't take myself all that seriously at all. Ya'll are great at it though. I get called out by at least one person every time this team loses.

Out of curiousity have you ever been called out in a thread? Wondering if anyone thinks your opinions matter enough to do that?

Nobody deserves to be blamed for feeling completely beaten down and defeated after today. That was a type of loss that occurs once or twice a generation, many current Cowboy fans will likely never live to see another one like it. Cut people a damn break, we just blew a 24 point second half lead at home to the freaking Detroit Lions. That hurts, a lot. I would question the loyalty of any fan who doesnt feel completely crushed right now.

Give me a break.

Blaming others to excuse Romo doesn't help matters.

1) You will have to pass the ball in the 2nd half, even if you're up by 24 points. The ONLY thing that makes it a game is if the Lions make quick scores, which would usually happen on turnovers.

2) We had a chance to force the Lions to drive down the field and score a FG to *tie* the game. Romo throws blindly to Witten (big freaking surprise) and gets picked off.

3) Romo has the option to audible to running plays, too. People usually forget this.

I don't know why he does it, but I know that I'm tired of it and I don't think it's what a Super Bowl winning QB will do. I also know that just about every non-Cowboys fan...if they are being completely honest...will tell you that they don't see Romo as a SB winning QB either. Or as my friend, a Bears fan said...'whatever Montana and Elway had, Romo doesn't.'

YR

Couldnt say it any better. Romo is what he is. A Qb who will always put numbers ahead of the right thing to do. Will always try to make the play himself instead of living to fight on the next play.

Time to move on

You're not as good at smug when something hurts are you? Figured as much.

No, but we may want him finishing.

Why? So he throws the INTs instead of Romo?

He has 165 career INTs vs 169 TDs, not to mention 65 career fumbles. That's not all because he played on bad teams.

Guess why?

You'd have 100 threads crying about Romo.

Guess why?

Instead people are trying to vent in this thread and you're saying we should pull up our pants and act like men because the Patriots lost, too.

So basically no matter how we lose, it's okay because somewhere the past 50-60 years, another team has lost the same way.

It's just like those people who point to a 0-2 start and say...

Nevermind.

Craig

This is so true. How many games does Romo have to blow by making poor decisions before he realizes there is more to being a great quarterback than slinging the ball around the field? Unless he is able to learn how to play situational football this team will never get over the hump.

He deserves to be ripped.

There is no defending him today.

But I will say that my helicopter ride in Kauai today after the game made me forget this game for awhile anyways.

Aloha!

Cool! Going in March, can't wait!

I do, and I do not care what you think of it.

You are a damn defeatist! Now, surrender!!

Chilax, dude. I'm just expressing an opinion. Usually, it's a lovefest for Romo, especially when he wins games like he did against the 49ers and Commanders. You dare question whether he's a consistent quarterback, and you'll get shouted down in here. I'm just stating what I've observed.

I'm not bothered by people liking or disliking Romo or anyone on the Cowboys roster for that matter. I guess I'm past wearing my Cowbosy fandom on my sleeve.

I am extremely upset with Romo. Well, upset with everyone on the team. But Romo just makes me give up on trying to understand this team. To just say, we need to move on or draft another QB lacks any logic. I wish it was that simple...it’s not. That road will be tougher than this one.

We are like that couple that is “stuck” with each other. You have Romo. You are “stuck” with him. The good and the horribly bad. Expecting joy will never happen for you. Your life will always be tortured with him.

You do have many non-fans on our boards here, utrunner being just one.

They can't wait to call you out when things go south for the team. It seems they are more interested in getting under your skin after a loss than the loss itself.

Says everything about those posters though and trust me, people see it alllll of the time.

It gets old, but you guys have to take it. Your way to nice. I would have the stirrers gone in about 2 days. Probably why I wasn't asked to be a moderator again?

yeah.....has to be that

Feel crushed. I hope it really hurts you and the rest who want to be miserable. That is what you want, so I hope you get it.

I'm magnanimous like that.
