Maybe you missed the point I made that I wasn't referring to his intelligence. I said that he is, by all accounts, an intelligent individual. I was referring to his apparent inability to make sound decsions when it comes to his profession. His degree in finance has nothing to do with his ability to stay on an active NFL roster and I'm not trying to hold him to anybody's standards other than the NFL's required standard to stay drug free. That's all I was saying.
I'll also throw this in...I don't smoke pot but I certainly don't have an issue with anybody that does partake. I wouldn't have any issue with Ro or any other player doing it if the NFL didn't have an issue with it but since the NFL does have an issue with it, I do too because that affects the team I root for, which is what this is all about, after all.

Forgive me for reading "50 cent" brain as a reference to someone's intelligence.

Ro's got some discipline and decision making issues but I like the guy anyways. Can you imagine if he ever acquired the drive and motivational levels that Sean Lee has? He would take over games...

You missed the very end of my post. (see the part in parentheses at the very end). That's OK, it happens. I hope you have a blessed day! :)

Playing well, yes.

But cut him in February.

The guy is one toke from a year suspension. How do you feel about that likelihood?

Can't risk it.

I am sure he doesn't get paid if caught and I am 90% sure he is on a one year deal anyways.

But why would you rely on that?

He missed the first four games this year, played like crap the next four games, then finally started to show up.

I want somebody interested in preparing in the offseason to play a full season.

No kidding. Dude is probably the laziest guy on the team. I'd still sign him to an incentive 1 year deal next season. If he can't show up in game shape by Game 2 he's benched a game, if by Game 4 he's still loafing around like he did half the season then he's cut and all that incentive goes away.

You sign him to a deal that pays him and protects you in that situation.

It's called risk management.

What bothers me is how young he is and he needs so much time out of practice to rest. That is usually for older players.

Because he is a difference maker and he is inexpensive. We have a lot more needs than an ILB.

He's a difference maker by week 10 when it doesn't matter anymore.

Thats just dumb. Last season he was a difference maker by week 6 and he gave this team an identity. If he plays in GB we win that game easily.

And this season, he got suspended for four games, came back out of shape and ineffective, then started playing great when the team was 3-7.

Now, one more bad drug test (he's had several) our knucklehead moment, and he's looking at a year suspension.

Don't hitch your wagon to players like that.

Love his ability, but you simply can't trust him.

Thats true but you can't pay every position top dollar and he is cheap because of all his problems.
