Rob Ryan Fired per twitter ESPNDallas **merged**

I am beyond disgusted in this gutless organization.

This is an absolute joke.

I agree. The process officially sucks! Garrett is dead to me as far as I'm concerned. Dead man walking.

Only reason I don't like it is because all the players seemed to be really behind him. Interesting move for sure. Maybe the dc from the Bengals comes back? Whoever it is I just hope that it is an attacking defense.

Spags just said that Jerry was upset about the defense not playing well early in the season, specifically Seattle, and Chicago when the defense was healthy.

Maybe i forgot most of the details of those particular games, but wasn't those blowouts mainly due to errors on the ST/Offense?

Rob Ryan in Turks & Caicos and was fired on cell phone by Jason Garrett. "They want uncomfortable," Ryan said. "I'm comfortably numb."

This is how much of a two faced liar Jerry is.

Did he or did he not say the schemes were not the problem and it was fundamentals?

Hmmmm?

Supposedly this was a Jerry move.

Jerry isn't happy with the guys JASON hired so he is going to make changes for him.

I never felt that Ryan was a Jason guy or at least that he was brought in by Garrett. Who knows really but it certainly won't stop people from filling in the gaps as they see fit.

If guys like Mathis and Free can play DE, Ware can.

They were only able to effectively play DE when offense was putting points on the board and putting the opponent behind. Forcing them to pass, look at last season with no offense to speak of. Unless Garrett is gone or giving up play calling, we can't look forward to that type of offense.

Lovie Smith or Romeo Crennel is staying 3-4.

Crennel did a pretty good job with Cleveland's D. Is Ray Horton still out there?

Okay, now that the shock has worn off, let's consider some things.
First of all, for all those screaming that it's a travesty that the DC got fired while the offense was bad, let's wait and see. Who says Jason isn't giving up the offensive coordinator job? Just because Ryan was the first big change, doesn't mean he's the last.
Second, I don't think it's a knee-jerk reaction. We don't know what has been going on behind the scenes for the past two years. There may be any number of reasons to fire Rob that are not apparent to those of us who are not at Valley Ranch. There may have been insubordination or other issues. There may have been things he was asked to do by the head coach that he refused to do. Maybe it was the way he couldn't get the right number of guys on the field. Who knows? But let's be real, injury excuses or not, the defense has not lived up to expectations the past couple of seasons.
Third, this might very well be the result of a desire to switch schemes, or they may actually have a dc lined up that Garrett really wants to work with.
I plan to give this move the benefit of the doubt until some other details come forth.

Brandon Carr "surprised" by the firing of Rob Ryan. Carr on 103.3: "I'm trying to gather my thoughts."

I'm not a Garrett hater but I think that he deserves being fired more than Rob did.

What the heck??

Jerry Jones is a buffoon, an imbecile, a complete and utter moron.

I dont even...

We all know he's a bad GM with bad judgement, but now we can confirm he has bad eyes, as well.

How the heck is DeCamilias still here if Ryan is gone?
