Yeah, I'm not near as upset about this as some people.

Some seem to think Dallas should have kept him BECAUSE it has not fired other coaches whose players did worse.

I don't think that's a good reason to keep him. We need to always be looking to improve where there is room for improvement.

I don't think he did a bad job. But we did give up 400 points and we did have trouble getting personnel on and off the field and Jerry was harping on fundamentals and specifically said tackling.

If it is Lovie, I'm not going to be upset at all. I think the guy is one hell of a coach and this is his dream place to coach.

If Garrett has any sense of humor, he will name himself the defensive coordinator tomorrow morning and just let it simmer for a day or two while they interview candidates.

I have to say I am surprised. I thought Rob did Ok with what he had. My 16 year old son is beside himself. He loved Rob and his passion on the sideline. He said the players loved playing for Rob and I believe that. Oh well, I hope Jerry knows what he's doing.....

This defense was absolutely horrendous when Rob came here and i would've loved for him to at least get one more year with potentially Lee, Carter, Claiborne, etc all healthy and ready to go + some new additions.

I haven't been following developments all too closely but i hope Rob isn't the scapegoat here, i still put a large share of the blame on the offense which hasn't been good/consistent for the longest time now under Garrett's care(OC/HC).

I am torn on this. He probably deserved to be replaced but not before the offensive coordinator. Rob worked miracles with that defense even though his schemes were questionable at times.

If this is Jerry's big move and the offensive coaches stay the same, then Jerry made a big, big mistake. If he is going to clean house, do it then and not just Ryan.

Knee-jerk reaction. Does Jerry forget he was missing 7 of his key players for most of the season and they were still competing well? Firing Ryan isn't going to suddenly make our Safeties not suck anymore. Bad move imo.

Only way they make up for this is if the somehow get Lovie Smith. But I think he'll get a HC position from another team liket he Chargers.
