Sharpe was shut down on Lee...thanks to a man who actually coached him in the past. Sharpe does have a polemic point about Beckham Jr. However, we need only revisit the tape from last decemeber to note that he alone cannot save the Giants offense from periods of lackluster stupor. After the events of sunday night, ODB's price has gone up, and the Giants will have no choice but to pay it. Otherwise, they might as well cut Manning tomorrow, because with the current o-line, he will have little to work with going forward.

It was almost like rob was trying to have an intelligent conversation with a 6 year old and everytime the 6 year old opened his mouth you were reminded he's 6.

Sharpe "the contrarian" is an example of a guy who means well but ignores context and history. He dismisses the Dallas secondary as average (and he's being polite here in the presence of Ryan)...and yet a similarly "so-called" average secondary held the Giants (with Beckham) to a mere 10 points (even though they won) AT the meadowlands in december of last year. At some damn point, you have to give credit where credit is due. In the end, the Dallas defense, whatever it is called by whomever, is a pretty well coached group of kids...who will get better as the season wears on.

Sharpe comes off as not objective...and this alone is good reason to dismiss his thoughts out of hand. On the way out he ruminates about potential offensive lines the Cowboys will encounter that are worse than the Giants, while a mere 2 minutes earlier he forecasts the Giants winning the division. He likes to have it both ways it seems...but it is easy to find illogic in people who make brash statements bereft of context and certain inconvenient facts.

Now Sean Lee is the definition of RKG. I don't know if he's as good as Kuechly but you can see how passionate a former coach of his when he talks about the guy.

The thing is, Rob has been around the league for many years. Yet he says he's never seen anyone study like Sean Lee. That's a pretty significant statement.

That was a good segment with Rob Ryan.

The guy catches a lot of flack but he's a solid coach with a lot of knowledge and experience.

I can't help but feel like Rob is a good guy that I would not have any problem hanging out and drinking beer with.
