Good move for the bears. Could be a good move for Philly depending on why he has dropped in production. Maybe being on a better defense will allow him more 1 on 1 and be rotated more to keep him fresher.

This is what a great FO looks like sadly. Even with the undefeated record as of thus far, they are still being aggressive in FA and attempting to make moves. They've won a superbowl, fell off and look to potentially be in another one before we ever get out of the 2nd round of the playoffs lol. I'd love to be wrong, but at least their fans get to enjoy a front office that is attempting to do it's job.

The Eagles FO traded a fourth round pick for a player the Cowboys FO got for a sixth round pick three years ago.

He's no longer even in the top half of DEs.

This is great for us.

Really odd trade. I really dont see a need there. They are loaded at DE. Unless someone is hurt
Long way to go in the season. Smart move, bolstering their defensive line against injury. If nobody gets injured he adds to the rotation keeping them fresh.

- Unmotivated one sack.
it can happen with disgruntled players - i don't think he's heart was into playing for Bears once the new coaching staff arrived.

- And he's not pressed to start with Sweat and the aging Graham there.
Bears are eating much of his contract. - so Eagles not financially pressed to start Quinn either.

- He can be their version of Fred Dean ..nickel/situational player.

- We just have to make sure we have bookend OTs that can handle those type of edge rushers.
You could be right.

This is a move to counter what we just did.

Different spot on DLine, but same thing - shores up a weakness, older, not having a great year, cap cut, feels misused in new system.

Philly the team to beat. Hope our Boys are up for it.

I was making fun of an Eagles fan the other day...and he looked right at me and said:

"Do you remember back in the early 90s, when the Cowboys last actually accomplished something, and you were watching Aikman and Emmitt and company on box TVs....and every once in a while they'd show old vintage footage from old games from the early 60's from the grainy recordings of old Packers games with Lombardi or old Bears games with those old timers playing, and it would be that NFL Vintage football voice talking about the "frozen tundra" and what not...and you would think "oh how quaint, look at that old footage from generations ago before I was born".

He goes, "You remember seeing that and how u felt about that old footage back then?

I says "Yeah". And he goes...."back in the early 90s, that "frozen tundra old timey grainy footage was 30 years old. People today, in 2022, have the same feelings about those old Cowboys teams from 30 years ago in 1992....like nostalgic, but not relevant...just like you felt back then when watching Vince Lombardi strolling the sidelines, and everyone in the stands was wearing suits and ties and hats.

He said you Cowboys fans bragging about ur team's successes now, sound as goofey as a Jets fan parading around in a Joe Namath jersey bragging about their glory years....and that until Jerry Jones AND his son die, we'll be irrelevant.

30 years..... and nothing. It's frustrating. I mean, the freaking Wizard Of Oz came on last night...and I realized that ACTORS FROM THAT MOVIE WERE STILL ALIVE THE LAST TIME WE HAD A SEASON TO BE PROUD OF. Sorry to vent....but I'm just wondering if any of us will see anything worthwhile from this team again in our lifetimes....or are just like the Raiders or Washington, living in the past

Davis? lol

Been a complete non factor.

Their DE's are good though...i guess Quinn adds to their pass rush...but they can't play all their DEs at the same time...

It does give them depth, though. Helps when you need fresh bodies throughout the game so your DL doesn't wear out.

Our closet case eagle fans who reside here can fake cry all they want. We still have a better pass rush and overall defense. Come December that will be demonstrated clearly.

You might have a better pass rush and maybe overall defense, but we got a better team. That WAS demonstrated in October.
