pretty sure the cowboys have drafted the most all-pros the last 10 years.
i have no idea how someone can argue the drafting has been bad.

They've done a good job at the top of the draft is what you mean. There are 7 rounds. Go look at the picks in rounds 4-7 in the great Will McClay era. Where you build the depth on your roster. If you like it you are very easily impressed.

Man, this guy was SO good. If he can be anywhere near what he was, he's a steal.

Doubtful though.

I was thinking about this the other night. Need to refresh my memory but sounds like my inclination that it hasn't been as good as you would have liked is correct.

Still would need to get stronger at 3-tech. I like the fact that Hyder has been mentioned as a possibility there, though. We need to be trying everything we can to get the type of consistent interior push we need in this scheme.
MCollins, TCrawford, CCovington, AWoods, DRoss, Draft3 would have DT covered pretty tight

DLaw, Quinn, Taco, DArmstrong, TCrawford at DE would be nice

Because why, we could draft someone on the 4-7th round who would be better in the next 2-3 years. The intelligence of this place is trending in the wrong direction.
More "because why" we could get him without giving up a pick and sign him to a better deal most likely as opposed to taking half of the ridiculous contract he has now and giving up a pick...

Looks like we are using more of our draft picks. Guess JJ will just sit in the war room and drink. Unless we are planning on using more of them to move up and grab one descent player.

We could end up with a few picks if Tank is traded.

No it's not. He's holding out on the surgery he needs until he's signed.

That's not negotiating in good faith.
No, but the Cowboys giving him an insulting opening offer did not exactly scream honest negotiations either.

He was a "Freak of the Industry" out of college and 1st 4 years in the NFL (former All Pro and Pro Bowler)
6-4-260, 4.60 40yd, 6.99 cone, 34" vertical, and 10 1/2" Broad Jump.

He manhandle OT with many 3 sack games including the Cowboys OT with speed rush. He signed a 6 year extension in 2014 but did not live up to it because of injuries and was traded to the Dolphins that do not play a 4-3 D for a 4th round pick and some worthless pick.

Contract extension was mega and he did not do anything in Miami but is better than what the Cowboys have a DE minus Lawrence (he had 6.5 sacks see Gregory). He is 28 years old (only 2 years older than Lawrence).

Trade for him if its a 4th, 5th or 6th rounder plus his $11M salary which I would renegotiate as part of the deal (its the last year). He has freak ability and age on his side.

We could get a look at him on his one year deal and either resign him and possibly gets comp pick back for him if he walks in free agency next year.
