Both dined at my work this evening. Were in intense football conversation for a solid 3 hours. Two more men were with them that I didn't recognize. Oddly enough, instead of eating the $80 steak, Easley opted for salmon. :p

I wouldn't place too much on this. I expect that yes, we are interested. However, when you are talking top round guys, it doesn't surprise me to see a coordinator spending considerable time with them.

Marinelli is very intense, so it doesn't surprise me hear he was having an intense football conversation for 3 hours. He probably goes 10-12 when he's really interested.

It's true that players that blow ligaments can do so because they have ligaments that are less forgiving than normal ligaments, so that condition of having 'tearable' ligaments is a legitimate thing. But it's also the case that the common ACL repair using a segment of the inter-patellar tendon is actually stronger, when rehabbed, than the original ACL.

In a way, when you take a guy who's had both knees done, you're getting a guy with super-strength ACLs. So that's kind of cool.

Yeah I've thought the same thing. A lot like a pitcher in baseball nowadays. It's almost better to just get the elbow tear out of the way and get it fixed at a young age. With today's technology and advancements the ligament replacement surgery has become a lot less of a big deal than even 6-7 years ago. Obviously no one wants to injure themselves and go through that but with the right work ethic and rehab there's no reason a player can't be the same 10-14 months later

I'm wondering how soon it is until some young pitchers forego a season and elect Tommy John surgery to prevent future time missed.

I would be stoked if we can get Easley in the 2nd. If he knee heals 100% and he retains his speed then he will be an awesome pick. Question is do we need another DL recovering from a major injury?

Salmon is disgusting.

I am sure the Cowboys paid for the meal. Order the ribeye.

I just read a article that said if he didn't have the knee he would be right up there with Clowney.

Salmon is disgusting. But it does send a great message to have a big guy watching his Omega 3s heading into the draft. Easley's becoming a pet cat of mine here.

I love me some ribeye but some nice sushi grade salmon is fabulous. Sticky rice (Nippon) with some sugar and rice wine makes for great sushi. I make my own. Some sweet soy sauce and wasabi and I'm happy.

Seriously Easley was watching his weight so he can keep that quickness. Trading down from 16 to pick up an extra pick or two then getting him in the late first would be good trade and draft. Between him and Melton you have a superior inside rush in the nickel and a great rotation otherwise. Easley can also play DE. Love versatility.

We still need a WDE/pass rusher.

Seconded. Salmon is delicious. Especially when your friend stationed in Fairbanks puts wild caught alaskan salmon on dry ice and overnights you fresh filets.

Ok what do you want in exchange for hooking me up. We can split the cost. I'm only an hour from you.
