Aaron Rodgers was able to lead the Green Bay Packers to a 34-31 win over the Dallas Cowboys in the Divisional Round of the playoffs on Sunday. However, Rodgers believes the Cowboys have a very bright future because of rookie quarterback Dak Prescott.

After the game, Rodgers talked about Prescott and rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott and he loved what both players were able to do this year.

"Dak and Zeke had phenomenal seasons," Rodgers said via Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports. "I think this is just the beginning for the Cowboys."

Rodgers might be right. Prescott and Elliott were able to will the Cowboys back to a 28-28 tie after being down 28-13 at the end of the third quarter. Prescott finished the night with 302 yards, three touchdowns and one interception while Elliott recorded 125 rushing yards on 22 carries.

Proud of it!

Rodgers isn't telling me anything I don't already know. Some of you probably need a little encouragement though..lol

I think Rodgers was directly quoting Joe Montana's comments to Dan Marino after SB XIX. That's the rumor anyway.

It's very encouraging that after GreenBays already weak defense went into prevent mode Dallas was able to score. I'm brimming with encouragement this morning.

Eh. Who cares? This is a franchise that has been to 15 NFC championship games and eight SBs winning five of them that hasn't won anything of relevance in 21 years. It's a non-starter to me that people are thinking that this comment is special. The "beginning of the Cowboys." Give me a break.

Not the beginning of the Cowboys, the beginning of this era for this group of Cowboys. And he's right.

Yeah, I understand that. I just don't give a crap. It's a patronizing comment and was said in a way that is ignorant of the history of the Cowboys.

And frankly, I don't know if it's the beginning of anything of promise, which is what matters. Romo's emergence was felt in the same way. This team has suffered bad luck, bad drafts, bad coaching, biased and bad officiating, etcs., with a few exceptions in the past ten or more years of his tenure.

Well, I guess we disagree to some extent. I don't believe, for me, that Romos emergence is the same as Daks but that's a whole nuther discussion.

It's Garrett's fault.

Nope. Not even close this time. A guy that wouldn't have Gregory or McClain if he actually had a choice. Two guy that put us in a huge position on our defense of trusting players that have issues.
