Monday morning quarterback clubs are even older than the burn barrel buddy bunch that blames everything on the owner, head coach, and quarterback...always in that order too.

No one is blaming anything on the QB, or even on Jerry, at all. But you keep on drinking whatever it is that you have in that burn barrel you love so much. One thing we know for sure now, it was not Cabo that caused the slow start on offense in 2007 or the Romo curse for the offense to fall apart against Minny in 2009 and against the Packers in 2014. Offense was sluggish again last night putting team behind 8 ball early. The common denominator is Garrett.

Wade was Dallas HC for 3.5 seasons. And in 7 seasons, Garrett has TIED Wade for winning seasons (2 each) and in playoff victories (1 each). In no full season as HC has Wade had a losing a season. That's 3 seasons of better than 8-8 (13-3, 9-7, 11-5). Garrett has had FOUR 8-8 seasons and a 4-12 season.

Golden Boy: "one day you will convert 3rd downs with no pressure" as I. The gods answer with yellow blessings as I young one.

Dak: awwww ***** please! I'll be back!

Being 8-7 in NFC championship games and losing 3 SBs and losing two NFL championship games before the SB era began is great consistency, but folks forget our team lost and lost and lost with great teams before winning. Until the 90's run, our greatest Cowboys team with the Doomsday defense went 2-3 in Super Bowls. It's not easy.

It would be nice to even sniff a Super Bowl at this point. I'd be ecstatic to see an NFC Championship game that I cared about.

What did Montana say to Marino? Or is this I joke I dont get?

Also, the title of this thread is "Rodgers Comment To Dak After Game" but I didn't see any quote from Rodgers to Dak anywhere, did I miss it or was that a typo?

Boy, I'm not worth a **** today am I? Sorry fellas (& ladies), I'm still verklempt
Lol...I share your mental and emotional state...and that was satire...I have no idea what Montana said to Marino...the point I was trying to make with some tongue in cheek was the fact that, after Marino lost the SB to Montana (Marino's second year in the league if memory serves), everyone was going on and on about the future of the Dolphins and that he'd most assuredly be back to many more SB's in the years to come. Not unlike the narrative currently surrounding our beloved Boys.

Given how things ultimately worked out for Danny boy, I use caution when I hear all this talk of future glory as if it is a certainty. Apparently the Rodgers comments were more or less along those lines.

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification

Nope. Not even close this time. A guy that wouldn't have Gregory or McClain if he actually had a choice. Two guy that put us in a huge position on our defense of trusting players that have issues.
Well for starters, JG is the one who sought out mcClain, and did want him.
We dont know who wanted who or not in the draft, so silly for you to say you KNOW JG did not want Gregory .
most felt Gregory was a steal and good deal , till he got suspended.

JG is a puppet coach to a somewhat not RKG owner and his son, he knows what type people they are,
he knows what the deal is and chooses to sell out his own morals to work here for the big paycheck, and the glory
of being the cowboys HC.
JG wont rock the boat, he wants this to be long term and keep putting the 6 mil a year in the bank.

He wants to win, but his main priority is not the team winning, but putting the millions in the bank, basking in the glory of the job,
and keeping that job for as long as possible.
So he wins even if the cowboys never do.

He doesnt have to win to keep his job, just needs to stay on good terms with the jones boys, who like JG
as he does what they tell him to do, he is a good yes man, and they dont get any static from ol JG, lol.
So for Jones boys, JG is perfect., and for JG, he is making millions and selling his football soul for a cushy
job with the not so RKG jones boys.

Stopped reading. Jerry Jones literally called McClain and sold him OUT of retirement. On record.

True, but they were getting past the div round werent they?? getting to that NFL championship game.

See it isnt just losing, it is they cant get to the nfcc game, and so not even close to getting to a SB, and even further from
winning a SB.
you can add to that the 3 win and your in games, in the 8-8 years, they were like playoff games, and JG lost all 3.

JG is just a loser, he lost with Romo and murray and dez, witten etc, and now has the best RB and star rookie QB
and still fails at div round!
He isnt ready for upper level playoff coaching and games, maybe after another 10 years he can get past that div round.
At some point the team may be good enought to win in spite of JG and the oc and dc, and they go further, but very
unlikely they can win a SB, but it is possible, especially with a guy like Dak.
That could be why JG dumped Romo and latched onto Dak, he sees a train (coat tail) he can ride and take credit for.

JG road tony's coat tail for many years, then dumped him in Flash for the new kid lol what a RKG he is ??
JG put tony in the garbage can so fast , tony was like what happened?? What?? after all these years you ride my
train?? JG showed his loyalty to Romo lol....... Bye tony Thanks for making me look like a real HC and OC !
your a great guy tony, but your fired lol I got me a brand new boy toy.

and how did jerry know about him ??
Jason has ties to his bama coach, so JG knew about him, and knew he could get him cheap to replace lee for a year.
Then jerry wanted to keep him whereas JG might not.

Garrett will NEVER get us there.

Garrett is a good coach. He just needs to pickup a few none RKG guys. We need a few dogs on defense, one at DE, LB and Safety. And I'm talking about real dogs, Pit Bulls, Presa Canario type. TBH- Cowboys have always carried a few none RKGs players. In fact, on all of our SB teams, we have had at least a couple.

Those types tend to stand up to the HC/DC; not coming here. We want "yes" players. Lee is lucky enough to be a little bit of both. Oddly, Wilcox is the only other alpha on D. Didn't take a genius to see that pressing their receivers would have given our D a standing chance in disrupting his rhythm; 10 yds off it is? I like Rod, but he has to modernize this scheme to incorporate some blitzes and man coverage. The whole room was yelling it last night; throw the kitchen sink at him! What do we have to lose? No pass rush and zone coverage for a top 3 QB.
