PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was injured in a motorcycle accident, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review said.

According to the Tribune-Review's Web site, the accident happened Second Avenue near the 10th Street Bridge.

Roethlisberger was not wearing a helmet, according to the paper.

I hope he is alright. This is why teams do not want to see their players doing these things. Personally I think a team has the right to demand things like no motorcycle after all they are investing a lot of money into that player

It took 3 minutes to load, but there are ZERO details other than the intersection it happened, the time (about 11:30 local time) and the fact he wasn't wearing a helmet. Didn't say how serious the injury was or anything.

I think last year, he was asked about wearing a helmet and not riding a bike so that he doesn't risk injury and jeopardize the franchise. He said he would do whatever he wants in his own time. Thats where I don't like Ben. He seems somewhat immature in both his injury statements and some of this stuff like riding a bike.

KDKA news is reporting that he was not wearing a helmet and he is bleeding from the head. He flew over his handle bars, hit the windshield of the vehicle and rolled over the top of the vehicle.

when i heard what happened i remembered the piece where he said he still wouldn't where a helmet. I'm sorry but Big Ben is a Freaking Idiot. Hope is all right but he is a freaking IDIOT!!! I believe he was in a minor accident last year but People just never learn
