I just got home from watching it and enjoyed it. I didn't think it was great, but it was entertaining and better than the Force Awakens. I thought it worth full ticket price.

Watched it yesterday. Thought is was good but not great. There are a lot of reviews loving the movie though.

I still prefer Force Awakens, but major points for some originality. I'm excited to see more original movies in the Star Wars universe for sure.

This was also the first movie where I actually thought Vader was imposing. The scene where he emerges from the darkness in the shuttle, you could feel the terror that flight crew must have felt trapped in that hallway with him. I hope they keep building on his legend.

Also, volcano base? Dude knows how to build an evil fortress.

This was also the first movie where I actually thought Vader was imposing. The scene where he emerges from the darkness in the shuttle, you could feel the terror that flight crew must have felt trapped in that hallway with him. I hope they keep building on his legend.

Force Awakens was a rehashed episode 4 done sort of poorly. Rey and Finn were great. Rogue one had not only good characters and actors, but also a far more interesting story that didn't seem like a blatant ripoff. The villain was also more menacing. Emo Ren was about as menacing as a hangnail.

I prefer TFA and its potential part of trilogy.

Everyone has latched on this "rehashe ep 4" and is running with it .... inaccurately.


While they stole some things. Droid message and Death Star blow up thingy (which I HAAAAATTTED) It was not the same story.

There is no way of knowing, yet, if it was a ANH rehash. I think it will take turns. I'm positive.

Rey has a backstory choc full of stuff unlike young Luke.
Finn is a wildcard.
Kylo has a story unlike ANH.
Snoke has a backstory unlike ANH character.



There's much more in store for this trilogy.

So it turns out Tarkin and Leia were cgi'd on top of base actors.
It was so easy to see you catch it right away.


Vader is a complete menace.
More should be done there.
Another Star Wars story, I think it's in the works.

I thought this was the best SW yet (I am of the opinion that the OT is overrated). Good acting, a stronger story, better action with real consequences, and Imperial soldiers that could actually hit a target.

Agreed. I thought the CGI was fine, I think it would have been distracting either way, but this way at least he got to interact in a realistic way.

4. “It’s a rebellion, I rebel” line gets cut

5. Jyn resetting the satellite scene as a Tie fighter rises up scene gets cut

6. Krennic walking on the beach with cape flowing behind him scene gets cut

7. Death Troopers picking up a Stormtrooper doll. Classic.

8. Saw Gerrera’s “What will you do when they come for you?” “What will you do when they break you” lines get cut.

· Vader cutting the guy on the ceiling in half.

· Saw Gerrera uses some kind of mind torture alien?
