We have WR’s on this team that can't make that catch, and he is our 6’4” 256 lb middle linebacker. He is a beast.

He is only 25, and has retired twice already. So everyone is leary of him.

I am rooting for him big time because he says he is different this time because he is now a born again Christian and has found a new outlook where he wants his children to see what a good football player he is, and show them that he is a good man, a good husband, and a good father.

If God has changed your heart, .. you can become a completely different man.

I think it would be a great story and a great testimony if he succeeds and gives God all the credit someday.

He was big man on campus at UA. I do remember that. As long as he works hard & keeps focused on the job at hand he can be great for the Cowboys.

It is said that he is an extremely intelligent man, .. that only plays in our favor as he matures and figures out how much better his good decisions have made his life.

Like I said, I am in his corner.

Yes me too. I hope he succeeds. We really need him. And hopefully his private life is happy as well.

We have stumbled onto a gold mine.

Did anybody keep track of all the people who were trashing the guy on his past before he ever stepped foot into a regular season game? Some of you have photogenic memories.

Also, do you wonder why the guy doesn't want to talk to the media? They bombarded him with why did you not want to play football anymore? what's different now? how have you changed? how will we know you won't walk away? yadda, yadda, yadda. It was pathetic. They were in complete attack mode. He handled it gracefully but they should put this man's personal life to rest from this point forward. Jerry told those people that he didn't want to be the center of attention and that we all can learn something from that. We shall see.

CCBoy is straight up legit, ... Gimme is working a schtick, or whatever it is called.

Thank you, Sir. I was implying that Gimme a True Blue Cowboys fan. That part I don't question. Beyond entertaining, I really don't pay much attention to style.

I normally don't, .. but I can't get past it, .. it is old.

The thing is, he is a smart guy and funny, I would like to hear from him with just a normal dialogue.

Well, it was a whole lot of people here. However, you can't really blame them. Nobody really thought the guy was going to stick.

As for myself, I thought that he had a lot of talent and was strong as an ox, but I didn't let myself count on him at all, because that was only setting myself up to be disappointed. By late training camp, I thought we might have something, but until I saw what Ro was doing in games, I couldn't have expected that.

Anyway, I don't think anyone needs to be called out on McClain because really, nobody could have predicted this.

If they doubt him now after game 2 however... they need to be put on a list. :D

OK, this guy has a new fan right here.

Focus the right kinds of positive attention on him, hopefully he knows what he wants now because he can be a big part of rebuilding a franchise.

AND rebuilding his personal life!!!!!!!!!!

I can call them out because I come from the school of "give everyone the benefit of the doubt until they prove something different". I reiterate, some people wrote him off before he stepped one foot on a regular season field. They took his past issues (which he said he had taken care of and put behind him and wanted to continue with his career) and held against him. Forget what he said. Forget the talent he evidently has. Whatever happened to taking a man at his word? That's all a person really has ... until he proves different. That's not cool and it's not a good look .... and now people gonna wanna "be his friend". Get outta here with that (not you, but those people, including the reporters). I don't like that.

I would say that he is a RKG. Seems to love the game, plays hard, mean, and fast. Exactly what you want from a MLB.

This is what Dez and Garrett said about him:

Frankly, I could not be happier. I have been posting for a few years that we need a guy with a mean demeanor on defense. Ro is just that.

i like the fact that he said "win, lose, or draw ... after the game the onter team need to feel us" meaning they need to play and hit hard.

Well if that is the line of reasoning you are going to take, then you can't call him lazy. But the obvious answer is 10 years ago when he was getting prepped to play football in youth leagues he was a minor and was not aware of all the ramifications now. He is a young adult and has probably just learned a lot more about the business and life of being an NFL player than he did when he was a Freshman in high school or even a freshman in college.

Anyhow, another good reason is he stole a cool several million from the Raiders for doing practically nothing. LOL. you can't make easier money than that. He got paid and is set for life so why does he need to subject himself to more punishment?

Is it too hard to believe that he is a young man that came into a lot of money and got into habits that he was not accustomed to nor was raised that way. He realized he was heading down a path he wasn't comfortable with and took time off to get his life together. This has happened to someone in everyone's family or to a friend of yours. So for right now let's just move on and hope for the best for him and the Cowboys.

I agree, I think he was smart enough to know he was about to crash and burn, he needed to get his personal life in order because all the money in the world can't save you from yourself.

... and it takes a real man/woman to realize it before its too late. The more people/media keep throwing this in his face the more I'm going to unconditionally support him. The same I do for Dez & Tony. The only thing these guys have done is beat all the odds. They haven't killed anybody, beat up any women (not that I know of ... Dez and his momma is another story that I'm sure some one will point out) or abused any kids.

I agree. I think the guy loves the game and who would not love the money but at least he could see what was happening and how things were getting out of control so he did something about it. You right it takes some maturity to realize that you don't have things under control and you need to make some major changes. I can't see into the future all I can do is give the guy the chance to prove himself. Not come down on him without having walked in his shoes.

A comment without substantiation, has two possibilities...one-being correct, or two-not being correct as stated.

9 tackles last week and 9 tackles this week. This week he had a sack, and an interception as well. He should have had a TD today, but the refs made a poor call.

Rolando McClain has a lot of heart, charisma, ummphhhh. How do you substantiate or measure that?

Stats mean very little. Take Romo as a really good example.

I don't remember many people trashing him, seemed like most everybody thought it was worthwhile to bring him in (desperation=leave no stone unturned).
