Rolando McClain stood out in practice

McClain is going to shock a lot of people this year and will give the Nay Sayers plenty of opportunities to eat crow. This will be Jerry's best move he made during the offseason...book it

Hope so. We need some quality in the LB corps with Lee out.

I'll give it a shot.

There, how was that?

Hoooah, Cooter...and understood, I need to make things a little easier to read. I just so detest to straight out sound insultive and intended to be.

Thank you my friend, and it's very nice to converse with you again.

Vontez Burfict is an awful athlete by NFL standards, isn't always in the right place, decent in coverage but what he does is smack the mess outta you if you come in his area with the rock. RUN OR RECEPTION. That matters! The next time they're more hesitant to come through again, get alligator arms and TOs ensue. See Cam Chancellor as well. We need more physicality across the board period.

No doubt he is chomping at the bit, at least I hope, to practice against his former team starting tomorrow. Then we'll see if he's ready to go vs. Balt.

McClain, who missed the preseason opener, said he’s not yet where he wants to be physically, but he felt better at practice Sunday than he has in a while.

“I wish I could have played, wish I could have been at practice,” McClain said. “The most important thing is getting healthy, as healthy as I can get, but I felt a little out not just being in practice. It didn’t matter how I felt, I wanted to go out there and practice today.”

McClain’s expected to practice against his former Raiders squad when the teams meet this upcoming week. He said he’s looking forward to being able to hit someone that’s not on his teams.

“I still know a few guys on that team, so it’ll be good,” McClain said. “But it’ll also be good to put my pads on a few of those guys.”

If I needed a laugh i'd go back and read the thread on us trading for him. Or read the "he re-retired" thread.

So far this guy has made a lot of guys from Bill Barnwell at Grantland to a lot of our own players look quite foolish.

Keep it up kid.

I love how he says, "some have questioned..." Dude doesn't even have the scrote to come out and say he is the biggest naysayer of all.

Clown shoes Fisher.

The "issue" with Rolando McClain is evidently who looks after his little boys in Alabama while he's away.

It was brought up on one of the recent episodes of Talkin' Cowboys.

The team has evidently set McClain's mind at ease about the matter.

Can you taste the power and hitting with McClain at MLB and Lee at the weak side with his maneuverability and play making abilities? That might leave Carter to just becoming a tough strong side linebacker, with some coverage ability to boot.

You're not still counting on Lee are you?

I can only imagine the smugness when/if he does something in a game.

I hope he does very well so that we won't be afraid to cut Sean Lee after this year. No joking. I haven't trusted Lee for years now. We need guys we can rely on.

we won'r cut Lee I think he'll move over to coaching after contract

I agree that I see no reason for having high expectations for McClain. There's never been a doubt about his physical ability; it's how he's going to handle any adversity that comes up that will matter.

I think he can be the best Dallas pickup, possibly even better than Melton with the loss of Lee, but there's higher probability of Melton being able to overcome his one-time injury than there is of McClain being able to overcome recurring troubles.

I kinda agree

this exchange is way to logical for a message board

You mean more like happiness for our Cowboys?

Go back to that thread if you'd like. I didn't predict great things from him. I just said the cost was right and was bewildered by the negative press both externally and by Zoners.

This is all matter of public record Mr. Star.

Only in Dallas could a "fan" be worried that he'll have to deal with smugness should a player perform. Kind of says a lot about that "fan".

Tell me again how he's making a lot of people look stupid with a few positive reports out of practice.
