Twitter: Rolando McClain: "We're taking over the world this year"

Ro and Hardy's attitude HAS to spill over to the rest of the defense. Scandrick will join in I'm sure.

Everyone will have to pick it up a notch to keep up with these two.

I think Carr want's to play that style of Football as well. Scheme just doesn't really lend itself but he's another guy that I think would love it. Church is on the list as well.

'Ring Of Honor 88' mentions PJ Williams and Wilcox above as well.

I just think guys will follow that lead the way the Ravens defense followed R. Lewis and Suggs.

The one piece missing is Murray. I agree that the front office held their own at 6 million a year and they should have. The Eagles overpaid him and I've told folks they will regret it in 2 years. I think Murray will regret his move.

I had no expectations of Rolando McClain last year and was pleasantly surprised. Now get Spencer back for 2 years.

Could be WV. I, for one, would love to see that happen.

spencer is a spare at best

As many have already observed. it was the toughness and physicality of our defense last year that made it so much better than 2013. I think we're on pace to be a lot meaner and physical-er this season. ;)

BTW how does a guy named Kenneth Lamar get the nickname "P.J."? Not a single "P" or "J" in any of his names :)

I like the attitude, the statement just sounds too much like dream team though. At least this is a guy that plays saying it.

In the spirit of procrastination, I've decided to rank our current starters:

RDE - Hardy
3DT - Crawford
1DT - Hayden
LDE - Lawrence
SLB - Hitchens
MLB - McClain
WLB - Lee
RCB - Carr
LCB - Scandrick
FS - Church
SS - Wilcox

1. Lee
2. Hardy
3. Scandrick
4. McClain
5. Crawford
6. Church
7. Hitchens
8. Carr
9. Wilcox
10. Lawrence
11. Hayden

There is a huge gap between the top 5 and the next 5, then an even huger gap between #10 and Hayden.

I think Carr will surprise folks this year, provided we have a better pass rush. I might actually put him above Church.

McCLain is "very excite" because of Hardy, also with a healthy Kracken, Carr should be as well now he can play bump and run without being picked on because of lack of pass rush.

Taking over the world requires everyone to stay healthy in the process....with Zach "the Ambulance Driver" Martin we'll see who all makes it out of two a days....Martin doesn't have anything to prove, tongue in check.

Seriously this has plenty of potential to be a Dominant situation in Dallas. That said, bet you can't wait for the Draft!

I don't disagree. My ranking for 6-10 could have really went in any order. I just gave preference to the more experienced. For example, I think Lawrence will surprise this year, but I put him behind everyone since he's the least proven. But, like I said, there is a pretty big gap between the top 5 and next 5. I also think our secondary can be pretty good if we continue to develop the D-line. I'm really hoping for a pass rushing 1-tech like Malcolm Brown. I'd also like to see us get a FS in the 2nd. We've been looking at guys like Eric Rowe and a few others. I think not having a true FS is more of a problem than Carr.

I agree with all of that, especially the need for a true FS. Everyone talks about needing more D-line guys and a CB or two, but I really think the Cowboys are leaning towards FS in the first couple rounds (assuming they are very close to the BPA)
