Rolando McClain

There is no way Jerry can let him walk adter this year. And I don't think he wants to. It seems like he has found a home in Dallas and is at peace with himself.

only way death ro isn't playing for the cowboys next year is if he retires. jerry has taken him under his wing, history shows when that happens it's a wrap.

death ro is a perfect nickname for ro

I'll admit I haven't kept up with the boys like I used to. I've always been a fan of Lee and carter but when I saw this dude play I thought instantly- " that's a baller tight there" I don't miss Lee one bit. That's how good this dude is playing

I don't think I'm overstating things when I say he's the teams MVP! Even over Demarco Murray.

Just remember what happened when he left the Houston game. Foster ran wild and allowed them back into the game

My favorite thing about RoMac is how much better the D looks when he's on the field.

It's amazing that last year and this year, the D is giving up the same 6.1 YPG, opponents just have fewer snaps!

There is no way Jerry can let him walk after this year. And I don't think he wants to. It seems like he has found a home in Dallas and is at peace with himself.

He does look to be happy here. He looks genuine and excited to be here. Electricity. Surely he sees that he is this team's Fourth of July fireworks show. He inspires emotion. Which inspires action.

That he is wearing a Star on the side of his helmet.

i think you nailed it...

i also left out the way on running plays he weaves in and out of traffic to make the tackle.

he plays with the vision of a rb playing linebacker...

kind of cool to watch actually.

I like ur alpa dog reference. Mincey said he is like a de at lb.

The first time I saw him stop a rb in his tracks and then slam him to the ground I thought it was going to be a penalty because it looked so violent and forceful.

But after reading minced comment I realized that d lineman tend to tackle like that.

It just looks odd to see a lb meet the rb in the hole but tackle that way.

I wonder if he was a d lineman at some point.

Seeing him make that int last week really surprised me. It was perfect coverage and he made a leap and grab at the ball that looked natural and effortless.

Have to say right now he may be the best all around player on this defense.

In High School he played both linebacker and tight end. He got lots of accolades for both but was recruited for linebacker by Saban.

My favorite thing about Rolando McClain right now is that he knows he has to play this game well to make bread for his kids.

I have longed for a player of this type.

This is why I coveted Ray Lewis a few years back. Would have made a huge difference.

what's your favorite thing about this beast?

my favorites are the way he reads the offense pre snap..he is very intelligent.

his swagger

his heart

the way he brings the play to an instant stop..no more forward progress..

he will hurt you but has a classy way of going about it..

You do know no one thought this thread was anything new. And you do know everything has been said about him ad nauseum until after the next game :)

Look at the photos they've taken in previous games when the camera is behind the QB facings towards the defense, the way he looking at the QB, letting him know he's coming.

He brings an energy that has been sorely lacking since Woody and RW31 patrolled the defensive back field. When he makes a stop you can almost hear the other team hold their breath.
