Romo 4 Cutler ?

Cutler averages 1.65 turnovers per game with a much better pass blocking oline and Romo averages 1.7. Cutler averages 1.46 TD's per game while Romo averages 1.8. The only argument you can come with is the "upside" one and we haven't even seen him make progress.

Word.

And it would seem they haven't listened to one damn thing Jerry Jones has said over the past month.

When this thread is just about done I am going to make a list with all their names on it...

What am I going to do with it?

File it away. And then when Romo takes this team to the SB I am going to break it out and shove it down their...

Anyone who wants to make this trade has no idea about the time and effort that goes into learning an offense and the work that it takes for a QB and OC to eventually 'get it right'.

This would set the offense back two full seasons.

And when did Jay Cutler ever do anything to make anyone think he's going to ever be a Super Bowl caliber QB?

These threads are so annoying.

I think it's incumbent upon the Tony backers to name the QBs they would trade him for. If not a young, promising guy like Cutler, then who? If the answer is "no one," then that's the very definition of homerism/extremism.

God...please....

have mercy on us cowboys fans.

it's bad enough we had to endure TO.
it's bad enough we had to endure campo.
twice.
and it's bad enough we had to argue quincy vs hutch vs henson for far too long.

so please - understand we're endured our pain and have tried to shoulder the burden without complaint. if you can find it in your infinite mercy to stop the stupid, never gonna happen even in madden football trades out of here, we'd be forever grateful.

Only the blind homers defend Romo....

Or people that know football.

We are talking Romo for Cutler right?

Are you thinking it was Romo for Brady or Romo for Peyton?

The best in the game and them two only.

Peyton and Brady.

That's it. Period, point blank.

And that's right now when I think the team could fight for a Super Bowl berth in the next two seasons based on the talent that's on the roster.

Guys like Brees, Rivers, Palmer (when healthy), Ryan, Flacco, and Cutler should still be in the conversation. Let's just say that if you polled the other 31 GMs, they'd come up with more than two names.

bbgun, you would take all of the qb's you listed over Romo?

I'd give strong consideration to Brees and Rivers. Palmer's injuries (knee, elbow) are piling up. But when he's right, he has Aikman-esque abilities. No to Ryan and Flacco because I haven't seen enough. Cutler is intriguing because of his age, height, and arm, but that doesn't necessarily make him an upgrade over Tony.

Fair enough.

I overlooked Eli, but I'll give the nod to Tony.

Edit: how could I forget two-time champ Roethlisberger? He too is lumped with (but ahead of) Rivers and Brees.

Brady, thats it. Maybe Peyton too. NO more. Okay Brees, perhaps. Enough. No on Cutler for now. I still ride with Romo.

Anyone have the schedule for the upcoming "flavor of the week" threads?

I want to know whats coming up so I logoff for a couple of weeks... :laugh2:

This is why I say Dallas fans are the biggest idiots of them all and im sorry if it offends some but most Dallas fans have no clue.

Peyton Manning would die behind our O-line.
Tom Brady has a little better chance than Peyton but in the end, same results.
Phillip Rivers, see Peyton Manning.
Drew Brees has some moves, he might survive.
Jay Cutler-young guy, strong arm, and most importantly for this team, he can scramble. Best choice. No brainer.

Now if our O-line provided more time I'd take Tom Brady for the win now montra but If we're talking long term then it's still Jay Cutler...

Amazing how all these football genius' around here didn't bother to factor in how porous the O-line is when making their esteemed selection for QB...
