Exactly.......both played on cheap contracts and what did we do with the extra cap, not a darn thing. This is why I don't get fans worrying about extra cap from not paying QBs. Now any other GM, yes, but Stephen has shown we can have over $200M and it won't matter.

We have had different high-level QBs, ALL-Pro, and HOFers players at various positions over the past 25+ years but STILL have the same results. It's downright silly to see fans blame Dak and Romo.

To be fair, the Giants turned into a buzzsaw those playoffs that ran through everybody, including the historic Patriots. It's tough to give a division opponent credit, but that was an impressive playoff run.

Giants won a championship but they did not play particularly well against us. Cowboys lost because they didn’t show up not because they were juggernauts….i feel that’s why Jerry didn’t make the necessary improvements to build on that team because he saw solace in losing to them.

Not sure, but I do think we would have stood a better chance with him in 2016 if we'd reinserted him in the lineup (depending if his health had held up). That's not a knock against Dak. Just saying that a veteran whose last full season (2014) was his best (and one of the top ones in the league) would have given us a better chance than a rookie who was still learning.
