Despite how much disagreement there is regarding these two guys, its almost eerie how similar their careers are playing out. Obviously the common factor is the organization.

Overall, I think that both QB's were good enough to win it all with the right coaching and team around them. Jerry never was able to accomplish that with either. Its unfortunate.

For those who favor Romo over Prescott, or vice versa, just remember- the only constant since Jimmy left is Jerry Jones. Players, coaches and staff come and go, but ownership never changes....

Not even a conference championship..I keep telling people no matter if you’re anti Dak or ANTI Romo it’s alarming neither could get out of the first round…..people use where they were drafted as an excuse. Dalton Schultz perfectly summed up what this trans issues are snd it’s not the players….
Those fans don’t understand NFL football. It’s quite hilarious.

Note this also includes postseason game stats .......interesting

This IMO is our postseason problem(s) in a nutshell..........the draft alone WILL NOT get you pass "hanging around the rim"

https://www.golongtd.com/p/what-in-the-hell-are-the-dallas-cowboys

This is a perfect time to check back in with those on staff who helped explain Jerry’s World in our 2021 three-part series. Problems outlined then have only lingered, and it’s a shame. Prime opportunities at the Super Bowl fade away.

“It is crazy what’s going on,” one former Cowboys personnel says, “and it doesn’t ever really change.”

A failure to grasp the quarterback market. A resistance to spend money on veterans who can swiftly close that title gap. A failure to re-sign their own at the right time. And, sadly, even tales of Jerry Jones’ raunchy sexual escapades.

It all continues, year to year, and the Dallas Cowboys only burgeon their own reputation as the NFL’s preeminent underachievers.

Losers need stats to justify themselves.
Winners have championships.

Romo would have won a Super Bowl if he had the teams Dak has had. Factoid.
Nope, it's not a factoid, it is a hypothetical, and a bad one because Romo blew it with a 13-3 one seed with a record number of pro bowlers on it.

If Romo wasn't a phony QB he would have made it beyond one and done with a 13-3 one seed.

You are 100% correct.

Forget that........25 plus years we still have not won another Super Bowl. It's not a Dak vs Romo thing. The common denominator here is Jerry and I think it's time we as fans start accepting it. This is from a 100% pro-Jerry fan........
We don't need to accept. We need to voice our complaints.

Exactly.......both played on cheap contracts and what did we do with the extra cap, not a darn thing. This is why I don't get fans worrying about extra cap from not paying QBs. Now any other GM, yes, but Stephen has shown we can have over $200M and it won't matter.
When you usually have a rookie QB on a cheap deal you are paying dead cap for your former QB. So where did you save the money???

Dak will cost $40M next year if he is not on the team. So did we save money?

Another reason you cant argue with ragbag stats.
You need to understand stats, know which to chose and interpret them the right way.

If you dont know how to do that you can still get a job in the media business and write articles like this one. No education needed either.

To be fair, the Giants turned into a buzzsaw those playoffs that ran through everybody, including the historic Patriots. It's tough to give a division opponent credit, but that was an impressive playoff run.

Seahawks was such a misfortunate play away from winning, you truly wonder if this franchise is cursed.
well if this is about the seattle wc game where romo got the slick ball lol??
you need to watch the whole game, tony threw a pass to crayton? and somehow he lost it out of the end zone, there were many key plays
in that game.
Due to the tricky slick ball trick, the nfl changed the rules on the balls used for kicking, so home teams could not do that again.

Never really understood that one.

I never bought into the premise that the QB has the best hands on the team.

WR's should be holding the snap for kickers. More athletic if a bad snap and a better defender with speed on blocked FG.
tony was the bkup QB so he held for xtra points. then he was made starter, at that point someone else should have been made
the holder but parcels messed up and didnt.
That was at the end of the game, tony was tired, and they used a trick ball, as at that point Seattle was able to provide the kicking balls,
and used a super slick one. It was so bad the nfl changed the rules after that.

sarcasm I hope lol
But tony took a lot of heat for that bobble, and people said he choked.
Parcells retired, I think partly because he knew tony shouldnt have been the holder. That was a mistake on his part after tony became
starter someone else should take over that duty.

There were other crazy plays in that game that contributed to the loss aside from that play.
People tend to focus on those final plays though because in their minds that decided the game.

I know what happened. But the idea that the back up QB or the punter holding the snap is out of date stupidity.

The reason is because the punter or back up QB has more time on his hands to take snaps at practice.

WR's have better hands. They are faster and better all together.

On a blocked punt who is going to make a TD saving tackle? The kicker, punter or back up QB? The OLine?

I think having a WR with great hands and speed makes more sense.

Yes...your sarcasm meter is working just fine.

I don;t get the penchant to just blame tony for EVERYTHING....it's usually to prop dak let's make that clear.

Either people never watched romo or they are trolls. ONE of the reason we were in it is BECAUSE of Romo..it was usually because of him we had a chance.... not anyone else.

When his number finally ran out...people hated him. Now we have Dak and they hate him even more.
