So, you'd dog DeMarco Murray if he ran for over 200 yards, scored 3 TDs, but fumbled on the last possession in a tight game - a turnover that resulted in a game-winning FG by the opponent? You'd dog Murray for costing Dallas the game?

Without question!!!!! Who wouldn't???

After today, it will be 13 and taking the "lead" for most since 2006.

Here's records where a team allows 50+ points. Dallas will move up to 0-4 all-time. NFL cumulative record is 0-202, not counting this week. If you move it to allowing 48 points, the record was 3-369, which will change after this week, with Denver bumping the win total.

How many of the 50 burgered teams went on to do anything in the playoffs (which people are openly predicting now)?

In the previous 10 seasons, 5 teams made the playoffs out of the 27 teams to allow a 50 point game (there were thirty total 50 point games between them):
2012: Indianapolis lost wildcard.
2008: Arizona lost Super Bowl.
2007: Washington lost wildcard.
2004: Atlanta lost NFC Championship.
2002: Tennessee lost AFC Championship.

Not going to do the rest. Projecting to roughly a 18.5% chance to just make the playoffs though it's not predictive, just a trend. Same chance goes for Philadelphia.

Very interesting, thanks. Would not have thought that it was a 1/6 - 1/5 trend. It might say more about the team that beat them than anything else.

All I want for once is for Dallas defense to make a stop when we have a lead so that our last possession would be to burn time by running.

That would require a competent defense with a leader that has something relevant to offer in the way of a game plan. We have poor players, no leaders, and horrific game plans. What the heck happened to our stud LB's? They looked like a bunch of stoned high school kids. They were absolutely clueless. It is a shame to see our young long term players regressing so badly. We are going to be stuck with them for a while. If they are unable to adapt to todays game, what good are they?

Can we dump the geriatric DC already? His ancient Tampa two is a bunch of garbage. Clearly the dude is as senile as Jerry. Oh well...the best and brightest minds in the Cowboys organization thought it was a good idea. That bothers me more than anything and is just another sign the Cowboys will not be relevant anytime soon.

Whether you intended to or not, you have revealed quite a lot with your Romo comments, and now your answer to this hypothetical.

Hope you read the one about me being a HUGE ROMO SUPPORTER. Have been since DAY 1. I guess I'm either finally seeing the light, or just tired of the same old stuff. Either way, after yesterday, it's becoming more than annoying to see the late game Romo mishaps.

Has nothing to do with Romo.

8,096 Yards 80 TDs - 16 INTs

THAT would be the yearly stats if this one game was extrapolated out for the whole year. These numbers would blow out all previous records so hard it would make your head spin. This QB would be unanimous MVP.

Even if all 16 of those INTs were thrown on the last drives of each game, that would be one impressive feat for that QB. To rag on him seems insane.

Romo's yards per attempt today was 14.06 on 36 attempts.

No one has ever had a 14+ yards per attempt on that many attempts before, at least since 1960. Until today, the highest ever YPA on at least 36 attempts was Y.A. Tittle with 12.95 on 39 attempts in 1962.

I should have mentioned this before page 4, LOL.

But I saw Y.A. Tittle play against the steelers at old Pitt Stadium, prior to the opening of Three Rivers Stadium.

(I know, I'm old)

Our Pop Warner football team went to that game, ... the Giants won on a triple reverse pass for a TD near the end of the game. I must have been 12 yrs old or so.

OK, .. carry on.
