Romo angered Steelers' defense

Tony Romo got the Steelers' blood boiling when he questioned why they would call a time out with the game tied at 13 and Dallas in possession at its own 17 with 1:51 left.

"Did you all really call a time out?" Romo yelled across the line to Steelers linebackers James Farrior and LaMarr Woodley, according to Farrior's comments in Monday's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

"Yeah, what's your problem?," Farrior said he told Romo. "I don't know what else he thought would happen. That definitely added a little fuel to the fire."
Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau used the time out to design a zone coverage that led to Deshea Townsend picking off Romo's next pas and running it back 25 yards for the winning touchdown with 1:40 left, handing Pittsburgh an improbable 20-13 comeback victory over the upset-minded Cowboys.

Townsend credited LeBeau for the turnover, Dallas' fifth of the game. He stepped in front of Jason Witten after the Pro Bowl tight end slipped coming out of the break during a 10-yard curl route.

"It was a route they were running against us all night," Townsend said. "It was just a good call by coach LeBeau."

A guy a know said he was listening to sports radio from Pitt and that the big turning point for the Steelers was when Dallas stopped pitt at the goal line and then proceeded to celebrate like they had won the game.

Townsend's an idiot. It wasn't a great call by Lebeau. It was a lousy throw by Romo.

They think more highly of themselves than they ought.

I just love all this B.S. about how they got "really mad" and took things into their own hands. Congrats Steelers, you got the win. But don't try and sit there and suggest that you had it all under control. Unless Reed is that good and called a bank off the upright. Give me a break.

That's a load of crap. The defense has a right to celebrate after taking the momentum right back.

Leave it to the turn over machine (offense) and unspecial teams to blow the game.

Sorry but this sounds just too much as if pittsburgh just needed a spark to turn it on and play good football. Just like they were able to beat us any time in the game but just needed a reason to start playing the way they are able to.

Fact is the Steelers were lucky to win this game. A decline of offense performance on Dallases side and not a perfomrance boost on the steelers side was what won them the game.

From the highlights I've seen the view from behind Romo looked like he was more worried about the rush than where the pass was going.

The goal line stand was phenomenal. They celebrated just like they should've. The Steelers would've done the same thing.

Haha, this is great. "off the pole, off the net, off that guy in the 4th row, off the scoreboard, banked off the upright and good. set, hut!"

The Steelers are so pathetic. When the big, bad, tough Steelers couldn't ram the ball in from the 1 yard line in their home stadium, the Cowboys were supposed to just walk off the field like it wasn't a big deal?

Laughable, like their performance for 52 minutes yesterday.

Exactly. Total nonsense from the homer Burgh paper. Only a fool would think Romo's comment had anything to do with that interception.

Who cares? These exchanges (and even worse exchanges) take place on the field in every game. This is laughable.

Don't matter steelers aren't going anywhere this year with Ben at the helm count on it, and the defense won't be enough come jan.
