Romo bandwagon tally... on or off.

Is it mere coincidence that over half of the "nay" voters are on my ignore list?

This seems like such an easy opinion thread, but it's like some wish to linger in limbo land.

Everyone who has faith in Tony Romo could eventually be wrong. Everyone who doesn't have faith in him could eventually be equally incorrect. It's all good. Why some have to twist in the wind with the "I'm on until blah blah blah" or "I'm off unless yada yada yada" small print legalese..? I have no clue.

With sincerest apologies to the ladies of the forum, man up people.

On.

I'm on the Romo needs to improve Wagon...maybe the one that needs to man up is Tony.

Creating threads is child's play. If anyone feels it's necessary to create a "Are you on the Tony Romo needs to improve bandwagon" thread/poll, they can do so. However, this thread asks for two opinions, not three, four, five, eighteen. Heck, it's so simple, even a caveman could do it. :)

ON
After last weeks game, I was off. But now since I recollected my brain cells, I'm on.

Was just so disappointed, after waitng several years for the stadium to be built and going to the 1st game and all that, then to lose it the way we did. But we can right the ship on a direct path to Miami and the SB starting tonight.

Dude. It looks like you accidentally spilled some Quincy on your screen name there. No more posting in Romo-threads until you get that cleaned up, alright?

LOL, yeah, no doubt. I gotta get that cleaned up. Obviously I haven't been here in a while.

You would think if I was dumb enough to support Quincy with no criticism, maybe I could or should do the same for Tony. LOL.

Or, maybe, I learned from the Quincy crap to not sit back and not criticize.

Most definitely "ON" the bandwagon. I haven't been off since he took over for Bledsoe.

The guy is the main reason we're even talking about playoffs these days. He is a difference maker.

I voted no, but I must have misunderstood the point of this thread. Yes, I trust Romo. I have to, he's my quarterback (enter Terrell Owens press conference photo here). But I'm not "on" his bandwagon, I'm not too oblivious to understand that he was 70-80% responsible for our loss this year. I love Romo, but I'm not going to ride his bandwagon into the ground.

However, I certainly don't think Kitna is a better option, and I'm not "counting him out" as our future QB, I'm just not singing his praises either. Please don't add me to your ignore list because I have a slight difference in opinion. *shrugs*

If the defense had held, what percent would his responsibility be for the win?

At least two of those 5 "nay" voters aren't even Cowboy fans.

On. But as I've often said, kids need discipline. He has all the talent, tools and brainpower, he just needs more discipline. We roll with Tony.

There are a few things that are a bit troubling to me. I don't like the trend that Tony has shown with his accuracy. His numbers have gotten worse year to year, where this is concerned. Having said that, 61.3 is still not horrible. I don't like the fact that he has still not managed to show he can avoid the impulsive throw but again, I believe that he will learn. Once he does figure that out, he is going to be a damn hard QB to beat.

I like Tony Romo and I think that patients is what we, as a fan base, need to show but I also know that patients will never happen because it's much easier to just jump off a cliff and convience as many other fans as you can follow suit.

:laugh2:

I am worried thou about Tony's accuracy. He seems to be having trouble these past few games getting the ball down and leading receivers. To many high throws, to many throws behind receivers. Those kinds of throws get picked and we can not afford that. He'll figure it out and when he does, everybody will love him again.

Just because some poeple are not jumping on the wagon that doesnt mean they dont supprot tony.
You're making it seem like there is no neutral zone. You are either on the wagon and a real fan or off the wagon and a fairweather fan.

I know where I stand. I support my team and if I'm not on the Tony wagon it's not because I dont support Him it's because He has alot to learn and alot to improve. Show me the results on the field and especially when it matters against good teams.

Simple question do you think he is capable of leading this team to a championship it is not hard to say yes or no that does not imply he will or won't but is he capable? Those who believe in Tony think he can those who don't, don't think he can.

As I have said constructive criticism is not a bad thing, hell I was not happy with the poor throws he made and know he can do much better than that. As far as facing top teams he has and has played well in many of them if he had not then we would not even have been in contention to start with.

Fans have a right to support the team and player as they see fit, I don't quite understand the theory of taking a wait and see to support a player or a team. A players failure is not your failure and his success is not your success.

I support the team and players in good times and bad but that is me. I'm not putting Romo in the HOF by any means right now but I do support him and think his hard work will pay off in the end. Hell I would rather back you and be wrong than to rag on you and eat crow later.

Top 5 NFL QB. Anyone off is out of their mind.

2008

1-3 in December...Only winning club Romo faced outside of the division were the Cardinals, loss.

2007

2-3 in December/January...2 of those wins against sub .500 clubs..1-1 against winning clubs outside of the division (Pats was a loss, GB was a win).

2006

2-4 in December/January...1 win against a losing Atlanta club, the other against 8-8 Giants....1-1 against wining clubs outside the division.

No playoff wins and no late season wins against winning clubs except for one vs the Giants in 2008 which can equally be credited to the defense that had 8 sacks on that day.

Claiming he's a top 5 NFL QB is a bit over the top IMHO...He may have been heading in that direction but in a league that only has a few top echelon QBs/leaders, it's not a ringing endorsement either....While Eli or Roethlisberger are not stat kings to compare to Romo, both have demonstrated the ability to win, win late and win superbowls...So not sure you can summarily disregard them over the obvious ones like Brady, Peyton, Brees & say Rivers or Warner.

Plus, Jerry cut one of the top receivers in the game in TO who was a stat stud so being 'ranked' doesn't necessarily equate to a future with the club or winning.

He's got the talent to win the Super Bowl.

I think he will.

If he knocks off the killer turnovers.
