Romo bandwagon tally... on or off.

I'd go as far as to say Romo was primarily responsible for last week's loss, though the defense had a hand. But I can't think of many other games where I felt he was the primary reason for a loss. He hasn't played particularly well in some of the "big" games, but he's usually played well enough to expect a win if all other components were equal. He hasn't been Aikman -- significantly upping his performance in playoff games, but he has been better than is usually advertised. As for the game last week, it happens. It happens to every player. It's how he responds that is most important.

Who would you consider top 5? Mine would probably look something like this.

1. Brady
2. Payton
3. Brees
4. Roethlisburger
5. Eli

Pretty solid 5, for me too...As I mentioned, Eli & Ben aren't going to get the stats or headlines that Peyton or Brady will but they win...Then there are others who are known for their big game play and late game heroics like Favre, Warner & Rivers too...If we were looking at them as stocks, Ryan's has to be up compared to Romo's, non?

I just think the whole he's 'top 5' argument is kinda beside the point if not altogether inaccurate.

I wonder how many of those 14 are actually fans of other teams?

To be honest with you, I seriously considered putting Rivers on this list but I could not justify it. I could not take Brees off this list because he's that good IMO and Ben and Eli have both won championships so....

Favre and Warner are both too old IMO so I did not consider them but they would easily make the list if they were a couple of seasons younger.

I like Tony. I like his skillset, I like his attitude, and I like where he can take this team with the right play calls. But Garrett and Wade need to realize that he's never going to be perfect. He'll have games like this, and they need to recognize it when it begins to happen and call plays accordingly.

Romo IS a younger Brett Favre. They both are top QB's when they are on, and they both fall off the truck and bounce several times when they are bad.

I am one of those and I am a Dallas Cowboys fan. So, that leaves 13..

Never been on the wagon, not got start now. Do I support him? Yes, do I think he can take Dallas all the way? No. I don't. Do I hope and pray he does and I can eat some crow. HELL YES.

I wasn't questioning you or your reason (or even care what they are). I was wondering, out loud, how many fans from other teams have voted in this poll. But there's no way to know.

I do not know about that ....

But I do see a bunch of Henson, Owens, Quinn, Quincy, and Parcells fans in that bunch ......

Its a whos/who of "I blame Romo for getting my guy fired" .....

I'm not going to hazard a guess as to how many, but I will say that one is definitely a big Brady Quinn fan. Large. Humongous even. So much so that I can hear Enrique Iglesias singing, "I Can Be Your Hero, Baby!" whenever I read any of his comments about Quinn. He and Bob Golic have it bad for that guy.

If the defense had held, what percent would his responsibility be for the win?
If my bicycle had an extra wheel, it'd be my tricycle. But, for fun, suppose the Cowboys defense had made that stand. Are we even talking in this thread?

Zeroburrito is a skins fan IIRC...not sure though...put him on ignore when he started poaching games threads a long time ago.

Well I voted off because right now I'm not pleased with him at all, not a big fan right now. I have to support him because he is QB of this team. It is more of dislike thing then a support thing for him right now.

I still think Roethlisberger and Eli would have as many playoff wins if they played in Dallas that Tony does. They both benefit from great defenses and better coaching. I don't think either are particularly better QBs - in fact I think Ben is worse, and his turnover rate is higher than Romo's. He just has a defense that can bail him out.

We have one that gives up back to back 70 yard runs to lose a game.

most of those on the romo bandwagon were arguing about how great henson/hutch/qc were back in the day.

SOS with jerry's kids.
