In his 3 starts:

68-101 (67.3%)

862 Yards

5 TDs

1 INT

4 Sacks

106.2 QB Rating

And his last interception was in the 1st quarter of his 1st start.

And he hasn't turned the ball over by fumbling yet, either.

(Knock on wood.)

Honestly I think Hurd fits Romo's style of play much better than Glenn.

You may be right, but what makes you say that?

Bigger target for short/intermediate routes. Glenn is more of a deep threat.

This is the first time since 1993 that we've had a quarterback with at least 225 yards in four consecutive games.
Where does he come up with this stuff? Thanks Stephen errrrrrr Adam.

QB's who are ranked among the league's top 5 passers are gonna wake up tomorrow and find someone new in their ranks.

To qualify to be ranked, a QB needs at least 14 attempts for each game played, meaning Romo would need 126 attempts to qualify.

He has 128.:D

Ellis did tear his achilles. He was probably able to put weight on it cuz he was under the influence of a fair amount of pain killers.

Romo's numbers have been pretty impressive, I want to see him do the job for a year then I'll be completely sold.

I am not completely sold either. So far he's faced one good defense (as we all have seen now, Carolina is NOT a good defense anymore) and got killed (Giants). I think we have a real test next week...the Colts give up points, but it will be a real test to answer all of their scores to stay in the game. Then we get the Bucs at home, and then NY/NO/Philly/ATL with NY and ATL coming on the road...that's a murderous 4 week stretch and THATS when we learn what Tony Romo's all about.

I'm not sold yet either. But, he's played remarkably well to make me giddy enough to believe he's the future (unlike past failed attempts at QB). Also, he was never "killed" in the Giants game. He threw three picks (one was the fault of Crayton), one was because he tried to force it because he thought he had a penalty, and the other was tipped up in the air and picked off. And yet he still threw for over two hundred yards in the half. Selective memory if I say so myself.

This does not compute. Which is it?

I'm sorry, but 3 INTs is GETTING KILLED, no matter how many yards you throw for. Its not selective memory, its seeing something for what it is. Good players and good teams don't turn the ball over 3 times in a half. Hopefully it won't happen again. But that 4 game stretch will really let us know what we have. Surely YOU can agree that facing the Skins and Cardinals does not even come close to facing the likes of Philly/NY/ATL....

It's just been three games. He's played remarkably well in those three games for someone who is getting his first live meaningful NFL action. No one knows the future, but his play has been consistent enough to make me believe he can be the future.

It's amazing how people can rationalize different things depending upon their own perceived biases. Three interceptions alone are bad IF THEY'RE ALL THE FAULT OF THE QB. But, the game isn't executed in a vacuum, and I am exercising my judgement based off other factors to make the conclusion that those three interceptions aren't all the fault of Romo, which seemingly you did ("got killed").

How about realizing that in his first half against the giants he had very little practice with the first team and his preparation level was that of a back up. Since he has started, he has been extremely impressive.

119 attempts... 84 completions... 70.6 completion percentage... read that last one again...

1124 yards... 9.45 yards per attempt... read that last one again...

8 TDs... 4 ints...

108.7 quarterback rating... read that one again...

I'm content with the quality of our quarterback play right now... :D

As for Ellis, though it looked to all the world like an Achilles injury, he was putting a fair amount of weight on it as he stood on crutches on the sidelines at game's end... a torn Achilles is very, very, very painful... he wouldn't be putting ANY weight on it...

Ah well, we can hope, anyway... we also have to recognize that we've been fortunate on the injury front so far this year...

I think maybe Sam Hurd can play WR in the NFL... he and Crayton made missing Terry Glenn a little easier to take...
I'll add to that, Romo leads the league in YPA at 8.78 and TD% at 6.3. He's also been sacked the fewest times in the league, Albiet 3 starts. His QB rating is kickbutt and basically built on the road. Next week the two top rated passers in the league meet in Dallas. :)
