Romo Calls TO the best teamate!

Given the way McNumbnuts is whining that some of his teammates prefer Garcia, maybe he was the problem, not Owens.

I'm sure TO was a consummate professional and greatest team mate ever in San Fran and Philly so I guess it must be true. All the players and coaches around him are just screwed up, certainly not TO. He is ok, everybody else aren't, pretty simple and makes perfect sense.

Did everyone commenting actually watch that interview? If not, watch ESPN until you see it.

a.) It was a great interview of our QB, even if it was Werder doing the piece.

b.) He was very (genuinely) complimentary of Owens. He said that no other teammate had as much contact with him after the fumble as Owens did.

c.) Anyone who thinks the players don't LOVE Parcells, and aren't motivated to play for him, need to watch it and shove it up their ***.

That's real. ;)

Think about it.
You're a struggling star receiver.
There's a new offensive scheme coming to town.

Who do you befriend?

It was also interesting seeing basically the same thing come out of Ellis' mouth also.

The more I see how the media reacts to TO the more I like TO and dislike the media.

To a limited extent, I feel the same way... oh, I know he created a lot of problems for himself in San Francisco and Philly, but after watching the way the media hovers like vultures over him on a daily basis, and will twist anything he says in an effort to create controversy, I almost feel sorry for the guy...

This time around, I don't believe that he was trying to disparage Parcells in the slightest with those comments...

What are u trying to say? yo if ur trying to start something....or come at me with a sarcastic remark...then just leave the thread i didnt force u in here...i understand u hate TO but dont come n tak it out on me..cause im pointing out something ositive about the man

That's the way message boards work, hoss-- you express an opinion, some folks agree with you, some folks disagree with you...

If that's a problem for you, then perhaps you're not well-suited for playing on such boards... for sure, you don't get away with telling somebody to "just leave the thread"...

At least, not until they make you a moderator... :D

You're not... all that's happening here is some folks are expressing their opinions on the subject too...

It is legit to note that Tony Romo isn't likely to do anything other than praise TO in his public comments... this doesn't mean he's not sincere in his praise, though...

You come off as if you think your opinion is above dispute...

ooooo ok then :D .....do u really believe that tho? if ownes really called him up n was trying to lift his spirit then i think he really meant what he said..i hope atleast

I think he was trying to give Tony some support in a trying time too... in fact, I'm almost certain that was the case, and I'm equally certain that Romo appreciated it...

a lot of the eagles players liked TO as a person and teamate.

i think of TO as the type of person that most of the time means well but has trouble with social situations that cause him to say impulsive things that get used against him forcing him to take a defensive stance and after years of getting outwitted by media sources tends to be too self conscious which makes him over sensitive and causes him to say more remarks that come off self centered.

In a way you have to realize, how can he not be self centered when so much negative talk is spoken out against him, he must carry that within himself all the time causing insecurity.

I think it is a case of feeling misunderstood to the point where he tries to clarify to the media so he keeps talking, but he still comes off negative due to social fopas so it becomes a cycle that repeats itself.

i dont see him as bad or good, just a person dealing with more than he is programed to handle.

I beleive that Romo and TO could easily maintain a healthy relationship. It will be intresting to see how TO and the next HC react to each other. Im not so worried though as the offensive assistent coaches will be the same as last year.

It doesnt seem strange to me trhat TO would be understanding to a teamate going through emotional stuff after the loss. He knows how quickly people can turn on you so it was probably a natural response for him to understand how ROMO might be feeling. TO is an emotional person more so than a logical thinker person so this would be the arena he feels comfortable with.

I dont think TO meant to sound like he was at odds with parcells, i trhink he was just taking opportunbity to put it out there now that he wants to be utilized more so the next coach is ready for his barrage of " get me involved more comments" which are sure to come

What kind of roomy was he supposed to be ?

The guy is on his last leg before being blackballed from the league.

He's got the millions that Romo dreams about.

He is not a drinker, drug user, or hardcore partier.

Hey, if they DO offer to make you a moderator, run, don't walk, away just as fast as your little legs can carry you...

Trust me when I say it's a thankless job, and guaranteed to cause you more hassles than it's worth...

Ask any of the mods in here if I'm right or not (BTW, I am not and have never been a mod of this particular board, but I have had that "pleasure" elsewhere")...

Yeah, well did you hear Owens talking in the PC after the Seattle loss. I don't remember hearing anything about "I only had so many catches and I should have had more chances" all I heard him talk about was how bad he felt for Romo. Isn't it funny how everywhere he goes he makes a lot of friends, after everything that happened with the Eagles there were still players who wanted him back despite everything. It just seems like Owens is a bonehead and "the media" knows they can goat him into saying something they can write a big story about and blow up into a big deal. He says something along the lines of thinking Parcells leaving is good and the team needed a change, and was moving on..... what was he supposed to say? That he's so depressed Parcells is gone and doesn't know how he or the team would be able to continue their careers with out him as coach?

well wether u like or hate TO u cant argue come gameday the only player every week that showed any fire was TO. he just brings energy.
