Can yall imagine if Tony had any mobility outside the pocket left? I mean, that is a whole dimension missing from our offense........the run threat from our QB. His rating would be higher if he ran even more than once in awhile.

he never was a run threat...came out of college running near a 5.1 40 lol

I love Romo, but he's no Rodgers. I think part of that though is the system. I think one could only make an adequate comparison when you put Romo in a similar offense. Romo would be better suited to the offense GB runs.

If Romo could still run, he'd be a top 4 QB in the league imo. His inability to pick up yards forces him to force passes at times or throw it away. He's still great though, and without him we wouldn't sniff the wildcard.

for HIS CAREER he has 230 attempts and only 579 yards.

Russell wilson puts that yardage up in half a season.

Where people came up with this delusion that tony was EVER a running QB is hilarious.

He's elusive and mobile...he has NEVER been able to run lol

he certainly isnt rodgers. Rodgers has the worst record in the nfl when down by 1 score or less in the 4th. Tony has almost as many 4th quarter comebacks as rodgers has 4th quarter losses.

I think Romo still can run adequately, but its so ingrained in him now to try and wait for his WRs to get open. He has been leaving yards there for more than a few years now.

I think its one way it would open up the passing game of we are going to stick to this vertical passing game.

But when Rodgers is on, which he usually is, they aren't down by one score but up by like twenty in the fourth. Nelson is no Dez Bryant and Nelson is Nelson because of Rodgers.

But like I said, I think a lot of it is system as well. Romo would have much better numbers if he played in a similar system his career.

Romo is not nor has he ever been the Cowboys problem. Our only problem with Romo will come with having to eventually find his replacement and having to be in QB purgatory for as long as that takes. When that time comes, unless we are EXTREMELY lucky and hit on the first guy we try, the Romo haters will finally realize how good he is/was!

Ive been through this recently...as of mid last season, rodgers had played about 86 games. In about 30 of those, he was down 1 score or less. And he only came back and won 5.

"That loss put the Green Bay Packers at only 9-26 in games with a fourth quarter opportunity for a game-winning drive, and 5-24 when trailing in the fourth quarter with a chance to take a lead. That puts him in dead last among all the current and retired quarterbacks listed in the article."

TO DATE, aaron only has: 7 fourth quarter comebacks, 11 game-winning drives

By Comparison, Tony: 23 fourth quarter comebacks, 27 game-winning drives

I just googled this take, but it only goes up to 2012:

This is another good article:

http://www.953wsco.com/index.php/On-Air/Blogs/The_Home_Stretch_with_Justin_Hull/R/1333

If you want to add that up quick, 17-times Aaron Rodgers has had a game tying/go ahead drive in the 4th quarter that they lost the game.

I think a lot depends on context.

I think he will. He may not be doing so hot in the fan voting but I'd bet he gets quite a bit of the player and coach vote.

What? He's currently the 6th (in the probowl) in fan voting.

Can't we just agree that Romo is having a phenomenal, probably top 5 season, without comparing him to someone?

There are 4 QBs better than Romo right now?

He's always unfavorably compared to the "elites", so...

Brees - 5-8 record, threw away at least 2 games this year at the end
Rivers - miserable fail in a big home divisional game yesterday

THIS season at least Romo is as good as anyone in the NFL at elevating his team. And it's phenomenal when you consider his injuries.

Romo is an absolute stud.
