Romo done?

Did anybody feel this way after we went to NJ on opening night against the vagiants and Romo shredded them? He hasn't lost his ability over the course of a few weeks. He has been battered, his OL has come up small, his receivers have dropped numerous passes (or have been on a different page), and there has been no running game to take the pressure off of him. He looked great at many points during the game last night, unfortunately, this teams has always shown that it's just a matter of time before it makes a mistake and kills a drive (penalties, drops, throwing while getting hit, etc.). Romo has never been the problem, the OL and overall sloppiness have been the biggest culprits on the offensive side of the ball. It would also be nice to have a D that causes turnovers.

Always everyone else's fault but Romo. Missing a wide open Dez for TD wasn't his fault? Missing a wide open Miles Austin for a TD wasn't his fault? Fumbling the ball at the 25 yard line for the second week in a row when we were about to score and give the Bears 7 points wasn't his fault? Throwing the 4th interception with our last chance to come back wasn't his fault? Take the glasses off already. Romo deserves plenty of the blame around here too.

In this last game, he sure does.

What about the guy in your sig?

He sucks! What has he done. 53 yards over three games?

No running game means sucky Tony Romo. Hell, it means any sucky QB. So blame him for the problem.

Is the "Tony Romo magic" over?

Would you re-consider signing him to a long term deal if a bluechip QB is available to us in the draft? Discuss.

Why should we discuss something this dumb? I hope Romo goes to another team where he can compete for a title. This organization has wasted his talents for numerous years. He deserves MUCH better.

Yeah, Orton looked superb with the second teamers playing against the backups on the Bears playing prevent with under two minutes left with no chance to win. Let's trade Romo now because this quick score will obviously translate to every drive as soon as he joins the first team players as soon as Romo is gone.

Seriously, do people think anymore?[/quote]

Sadly, many on here do not seem to have that capability. All they see is 5 interceptions on the stat line and do not have a clue that at LEAST three of them weren't on Romo.

Hes for sure not done but hes on track for a 20+ int season!! Lol glad i turned it off when bears got to 17 easily lol

Knew this topic was coming up.. Come on people.. Romo is the very least of this teams problems.. Its not even worth discussing.. This team is not a very good football team.. they have so many holes, they are mentally and physically weak.. I can keep going.. Romo is not perfect, but he is nowhere near the problem with this football team

Ok we get it, you love sarcasm.

Here is my question why does Tony Romo always have issues with his wr at sometime.

I mean Eli gets miracle grabs throws 3 picks first half comes back like gang busters, wins with a scrub the next week. Wins the freakin SB. Why is the Giants wr always more productive even when their oline struggles. They got great production from a knuckled head name Buress one of the reason they won a SB.

With Romo we always gets TO big drops, Patrick Crayton drop, Bennett crap leaves and is only semi crap. Dez Big drops,Witten big drops I mean every one of his WR ends up coming up short in games.

Miss communications on routes all the time no matter which wr which Headcoach.

That is my question why is it there is always something with Romo.

I have defended Romo until last year now I am just at a lost why he has so many issues and it is always everyone else's fault.

Why do other QB's seem to not have as many negative plays with Bad olines. Romo has been terrible this year so have the wr.

How many more wr do we have to go through before it is no longer their fault.

If a blue chip QB is available, without giving up ANYTHING to get him mind you, you have to get him. Not to take Romo'a spot but as either a back up or to trade him. Bluechip QB'a don't grow on trees .

I like Romo. He's a good QB. But the dude just has bad luck. Time for a change. This franchise needs a QB who is untouchable by the media.

even after last night, I still contend, ROMO IS NOT THE PROBLEM!!!

I will say though, that Dez appears to be uncoachable.

Romeo directly gave them 14 points. He also missed two wide open players for touchdowns. thats 28 points. The guy is a loser.

The guy is a player, and was put in a bad spot and tried to hard to correct it. This team would be garbage without him. Although more games like that and his next contract will get a little bit smaller. Who would you rather have, hutchinson? henson? Carter? Testeverde? Bledsoe?

-Be happy We've got him.:starspin

I have been critical of Romo, particularly in the Romo vs. Eli debates.

But Tony Romo isn't the problem. Three of the five interceptions weren't his fault.

The other two were desperation throws, trying to make something happen.

He's trying to get guys in position, hitting them dead in the hands and they're dropping the ball.

I think Romo is being engulfed by the culture that is the Dallas Cowboys.

I believe if you put Tony Romo on a different team, you'd get different results.

But on the Cowboys, he will forever be seen as a quarterback who can't get it done.

Logan Thomas, QB

Reminds me of Big Ben.

Or Tyler Wilson, QB.

Start building for the future.

I think Romo is a damn good quarterback, but he hasn't played like one for much of this season. He was phenomenal against New York, but pretty pedestrian the next two weeks. Yeah, a few of yesterday's picks obviously weren't his fault, but Romo had his share of miscues (overthrows, turnovers) that he's usually better than. Certainly he was playing at a far, far better level a year ago. Eight turnovers in the last two weeks? He's better than that.

I've always felt that Romo would lead us to title contention, but that belief is fading. Whether it's because of him, Garrett, or the overall culture instilled by Jerry, it's becoming increasingly clear this group as it's currently constructed will never be among the elite.

We're just way too mistake prone. On some level that seems correctable, but we've been saying that for years. If it's not 13 penalties one week, it's five turnovers the next.

We're realistically staring down the possibility of missing the playoffs for the third straight year and for the fourth time in five years. That tells me significant changes need to be made to this organization, likely to the point of taking several steps backward before hopefully taking many steps forward.

And a rookie QB is going to do that?

Aikman almost didn't survive his first year in Dallas and got ran out of town at end of his career.

Dallas is a unique football city. Unless you bring in a Lombardi trophy, you are fair game and even if you do the leash isn't very long. Fans for Dallas is all about what have you done for me lately.

There is NOT ONE QB in the history of NFL that can take this current team to the SB. NOT ONE!

Built your team from inside out (we been calling for this for years) and stay out of the way Jerry.
