Video: Romo Eastern Illinois Highlights

DiNucci’s 2014 tweet ripping Romo for being “absolutely horrible” is timely now that DiNucci had the chance to show the world what he could do as the Cowboys quarterback on Sunday Night Football.

“Tony Romo is absolutely horrible,” high schooler DiNucci tweeted on September 21, 2014. It’s unclear what triggered that tweet from teenage DiNucci, since Romo finished that September day w/a 34-31 win over the St. Louis Rams, going 18 of 23 for 217 yards, two touchdowns & a pick. The Cowboys ended the year 12-3, & Romo led the NFL w/a 69.9% completion percentage.

He also led three other statistical categories as well. Romo and the Cowboys even won a playoff game that year.

Who's "horrible" now?! DiNucci doesn't belong in the same sentence as Romo. BOOM!

There was probably a lot of hate for Tony Romo early in that game. We fell behind 21-0 following the pick 6 he threw. In 2020 the message board would have called the rest of that game "garbage time".

As a matter of fact, here is the reaction from this board during the game. The pick 6 was even predicted.

I'm not saying Ben Dinnuci is Romo, but had rookie Romo been forced to start a game with that 2020 squad vs the Eagles, I'm assuming he wouldn't have done much better. Sometimes some guys need a few years before things click. Dinnuci may be a terrible qb even 4 years from now, but its harsh to kill him over that game with impossible odds
How would a rookie dak had fared with that 20 club?

Since both tackles were out and the running game was near non-existent and the defence an all time worst...I'm guessing playoffs since the NFCE was so terrible. In a normal year, I'd probably think 8-8 at best and probably missing the wildcard spot. Dak had a rookie Zeke to keep the chains moving, but he also used his arm to get out of trouble in quite a few games in 2016

You say Romo wouldn't have done any better then nooch but you say Dak would have got us to the playoff..are you serious? We were 1-4 with Dak BEFORE all the injuries and he's a 5yr get... Romo could have done as good as that as a rookie.

It's too obvious a comparison because of the team, but the release point is almost identical.

The second I saw Nooch highlights last year I thought Romo.

Honestly Ben's mechanics look better than Romos did at the same stage.

I have no idea how Tony Romo became a good NFL QB but things happen apparently.
Tony worked his butt off studied how to improve release and improve.

Check the video around 15:09.....I never knew that Tony was homeless for a spell.

I’ve had posts deleted for old content before but this one stays. Makes perfect senses considering the mods.

I was looking for Illinois St Brad Davis highlights since he came for a visit a few days ago. It dawned on me that it would be good for everyone to see Romo’s highlight college reel for a comparison.

I thought it was strange that I never watched his highlight reel and thought maybe others would like to see it. It may be old but it is relevant to compare with other QBs and their college highlights.

How does Lance compare? Wilson? Fields?
Someone added Wentz’s highlight reel which is pretty cool. I had never seen it before.

Dude is a baller for sure. One of the all time greats who got sacrificed by the Jone's family. RIP
