I watched all 3 play and I can't put Tony over the other two. Tony plays in a passing league now. It's all stats. Roger was the greatest Cowboy QB I ever saw.

I agree, though Roger retired when I was two. I've only watched him in replays. Also, Aikman would have had monster stats, but the Cowboys gave the ball to Emmitt inside the ten yard line for more than a decade.

Right. So is that the bar? Being the third best at a position?
Well when you have 5 good QBs and 2 are in the HOF then yea third is good enough. The Cowboys have been very lucky at the QB position. I understand what you are saying. Five years ago I think I agreed with the statement but I've changed my mind. Tony has kept the Cowboys relevant and it wasn't all his fault that the Cowboys never won a SB. 2014 and what happened to the team last year changed my mind about him. He's about the 7th or 8th best QB of his era so I think that's good enough.

He has a interception problem

LOL at all the people worried about the Eagles middle of the pack defense.

This isn't Jim Johnson's defense, folks.

I missed the part where Philly's defense has been destroying QBs and offenses all year.

They're good. And I wouldn't be surprised if they put Graham over Cleary and Cox over Looney (whoever is playing at LG). Cox might pick his teeth with him. You should expect whoever's playing to get hit quite a bit unless we scheme to get the ball out.

As far as the RoH, Tony should definitely be in.

If that were the case why would we even need the ROH? We would just have two HOF. Kind of pointless.

I see your point. On the other hand I'll bet most fans havent visited the Hall of Fame and probably can't name the Cowboys there off the top of their head. It would be a nice way to remind them.

Of course they have talent but my point is this isn't the '85 Bears.

The hand-wringing over a middle of the pack defense is a bit much, IMO.

What I always found strange was how Tex Schramm was in the HOF for years before he was put in the ROH. And he didn't live long enough to see it although he knew he was going in.

You also said that the ROH should be more exclusive than it is, and if you make a comparison around the league with other organizations that have similar institutions, you would see that the Cowboys are more exclusive than any other team.

This is also wrong. I looked at the Steelers to check your facts. They have 24 HOFers. They don't have a ring of honor but they do retire jerseys. And do you know how many they have officially retired? Two - Ernie Stautner's 70 and Joe Greene's 75. Nine other jerseys are no longer issued: Gary Anderson's 1, Terry Bradshaw's 12, Franco Harris' 32, Jerome Bettis' 36, Mike Webster's 52, Jack Lambert's 58, Jack Ham's 59, Dermontti Dawson's 63 and Hines Ward's 86.

So the Cowboys aren't more exclusive than any other team, as you falsely claimed.

What's exciting is that in 2007 you sensed trouble because of how rocky their performances were heading into the playoff bye

Do not sense it now. In fact I still think we win Sunday. Romo/Sanchez or dak
Hope you are right but remember in 14 we rolled Indy and Washington the last two games of the year

Yea but we were robbed. It's hard to overcome the officials. That could be the case this year as well.

Perhaps you are the one who needs reading comprehension lessons.

I said for other teams around the league that have similar institutions. The Steelers, who do not have one, are not included there.

And do you know how many jerseys the Cowboys have retired? I'll give you a hint - it rhymes with zero.

Haha well, yeah maybe. I fully expect Cleary and Looney to get dominated though.

And the concern about the backups playing and more double A gap blitzes against Tony with the backups in might be legit. Likely chance whoever plays is going to get lit up pretty good. Tony's collarbone might snap in half again.

But, the backups sometimes have to be punching bags. Comes with the territory.

Until they had the benefit of running into the Giants grade school offense, the mighty Eagles D gave up 26 or more points to 5 straight opponents.

Injuries could happen. It's part of the game. But that Eagles defense isn;

I'm pretty sure they're going to be smart enough to protect their investment (Romo). I think they'll have all the OL starters out there protecting Romo, minus Smith of course.

It's Sanchez who will likely have to play behind the B-team OL.

I thought so about 2014 in regards to us winning 4 in a row in December only to struggle vs Detroit.

Praying we make it to at least the NFC Championship.
