I wouldn't worry if Romo were in game shape. But....
I am more worried about Dak getting hurt without Tyron. He may be young and strong, but so are Carr and MariotaA they trying to finish him off?? Tyron's not playing.
If he's "fully" recovered and he plans on playing any further, he's going to have to take a hit sometime. They will probably be rolling him out and running the ball a great deal with him in there anyway just to protect him the best they can.Against Phillys d line?
No argument there.LOL. Stop. The athletes in the NFL today are the biggest, strongest and fastest in history.
Check teams Ring of Honors/Ring of Fame/Wall of Fame - the Cowboys standard is by far the highest as it currently stands.
Romo probably signed a waiver or took out insurance against an injury that would limit him next yearWonder what changed, from he's not playing to now he's expected to play...
You don't spit on the Boss...... Day One stuffIf the Cowboys are going to do it this way they should consider doing something similar to the Yankees where in their Monument Park they have a special section with their immortal players honored with large red granite blocks. This is considered the highest honor of all and only 6 Yankees have been so recognized: Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, and owner George Steinbrenner.
The current Cowboys ROH is too arbitrary. Darren Woodson is in, but Jimmy Johnson isn't.
It should be noted that both romo and witten have a great chance at rings here in the next month
Jimmy isn't in because of Jerry. Jimmy absolutely belongs in.If the Cowboys are going to do it this way they should consider doing something similar to the Yankees where in their Monument Park they have a special section with their immortal players honored with large red granite blocks. So true. I have a feeling if they do win there will be joint press conference to announce their retirement .

Do it what way?
I don't think you really understand what the concept of the Ring of Honor is. There has only been two people who have made decisions about who has gone in - Tex Schramm and Jerry Jones. The whole concept of it was to recognize the best of the Cowboys - the players whose contributions to the franchise and NFL are such that the stories of both can't be told without them. Whether they are members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, your standard that you threw out there to exclude Tony Romo, is irrelevant.
In 57 years of existence, they have honored 21 individuals. As it turns out, 14 of the 21 are indeed in the HOF. Players such as Chuck Howley, Cliff Harris and Drew Pearson arguably should be (Howley was a 6 time All-Pro linebacker and the only Super Bowl MVP to come from a losing team, Harris and Pearson were both members of the NFL 1970's All Decade Team - the only ones not in the HOF from that group). I think that Darren Woodson should be under strong consideration for the HOF, but the idiots who selected Ronnie Lott for the 1990s All Decade team over him likely prevented that from happening.
For guys such as Don Meredith, Don Perkins and Lee Roy Jordan, those guys helped make the Cowboys the Cowboys. Meredith endured beating after beating, but was resilient enough to lead the Cowboys into the playoffs from 1966 through 1968, and nearly make Super Bowls 1 and 2. Perkins was the NFL Rookie of the Year in 1961, went to 6 Pro Bowls in 8 seasons, was a 3 time All-Pro, and was the Cowboys all time leading rusher until Tony Dorsett eclipsed his mark. Jordan was the Cowboys' all time leading tackler until Woodson passed him, and managed to make five Pro Bowls despite playing in the same era as Dick Butkus, Ray Nitschke, Tommy Nobis and Joe Schmidt. By any objective assessment, these guys all belong in the Ring of Honor.
Are there omissions? Yes, and some were due to grudges held by Schramm and Jones. Schramm kept Jordan out of the ROH due to a contract dispute that went public with a holdout and the hiring of an agent. Jones inducted him in his first year of ownership. Jones will likely never induct Johnson due to their feud. Harvey Martin, who retired as the leading sacker in team history, and was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year and co-Super Bowl MVP in 1977, can't get in.
To say that it isn't exclusive enough is frankly ignorant of the team's history. To say that only HOF players should be in there, and then raise it being arbitrary in terms of who is in the Ring by choosing Jimmy Johnson, who isn't in the HOF, reeks of moving the goal posts on a losing argument. You may want to learn more about this history of the team before you state an opinion on something like this going forward.
I'll ignore your condescending tone. I'm merely stating my opinion. You are certainly free to disagree with it.
No it's not, and I think you know that.So this is the front office wanting to see how Romo looks before the playoffs start and if he plays well enough they will name him the starter
