I think he should at least be in the discussion along with Rogers, Murray, Manning and Brady. He's showing everyone what he's capable of doing with a good team behind him. Something that intelligent fans knew he was capable of doing all along.

Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady should win it, IMO. Maybe if the Cowboys were to run the table, Romo should be mentioned.

But he'll never win it. Never. The narrative on Romo league-wide is just too negative to overcome, IMO. Heck, even a sizable minority of Cowboys fans want him gone.

BTW, that Patriots/Packers game should be a beauty this Sunday. GO PATRIOTS!!!

As much as i love Romo...Geez he was a little sloppy last night throwing ducks, and holding the ball for 2 long. Even though the giants played really well in coverage,im guessing more because of the familiarity. Anyways back to the op I dont think Imho Romo played well last night certainly not MVP caliber..im a Romo Fan

Romo is Great and he adds something to the team that cant be replaced easy, but this is not his best season statistically. But im okay with that Less is More with Romo 2 me..The O line 2 me deserves way more credit then that OBJ catch...its annoying Giants Suck

I'll be interested in seeing how the advanced metrics play out but I think Romo is having the best season of any QB in the league so far. He's 2nd in the traditional QB rating, but that stat is starting to become useless with all of the 3 yard, stat padding TDs that Rodgers and Manning throw. Rodgers attempting to throw a 1 yard TD in a 42-0 game is the most shameless thing I've seen in a long time, and Manning isn't much better.

Which statistics? Overall, it absolutely is. He doesn't have the most yards or TDs of his career, but his efficiency is much higher than it has ever been. His last 9 games has him with 21 TDs to 3 Ints.

And murray as well. You'd think with all those rushing yards he would get more praise. What he and romo have done so far is astonishing.

When Romo gets a ring that is when his career numbers will shine and show what a great QB he is.

Probably not, he and Murray would split votes. But I do think he would be a dark horse if they somehow finish with the best record in at least the conference. He's not going to catch Rodgers and Manning's totals because (hopefully) Murray is going to start getting the short yard TDs. Last night was kind of interesting, with all of our TDs coming outside of the 10.

Of course Romo isn't going to win MVP. Not unless he goes on a crazy tear the final five games and averages 6 TDs per game. But that's no the question the OP posed. He stated he thinks he should be in the discussion, and I agree. He's #2 in completion percentage, #2 in YPA, and #2 in quarterback rating. His team has the 2nd best record in the NFL, and his last 9 games he's thrown 21 TDs to just 3 INTs. Plus, we saw what the team would be like without him, and he's playing with broken bones (again).
