As much as i love Romo...Geez he was a little sloppy last night throwing ducks, and holding the ball for 2 long. Even though the giants played really well in coverage,im guessing more because of the familiarity. Anyways back to the op I dont think Imho Romo played well last night certainly not MVP caliber..im a Romo Fan

Nope, that's not gonna work. Why? Because all the haters for many years have been dissing Romo's numbers and solely talking about wins. Well guess what? He's putting up numbers and he's winning. There are no points for fashion.

4 TDs, no INTs and 143 QB rating says it all. Can I have what your smoking?

I think Murray has an excellent shot for MVP. The fact it's a QB driven league has made what he's done this season even more impressive. He set an NFL record with 8 straight 100 yard games to open the season. He's rushed for at least 100 yards in 10 of his 11 games. He's led a Cowboys team that some predicted would be the worst team in the league this season to an 8-3 record tied for first in the NFC East.

The Cowboys being able to run the ball efficiently is a big reason Romo has had the season he's had despite an ailing back. A big part of winning the MVP is team success and the Cowboys have been a huge surprise this season and Murray's consistent running has been the main reason.

I agree with all of this. However, I think when it's time to mark their ballots, voters will end up crediting the o-line and downgrade Murray's numbers, unless he hits the magical 2,000. If he doesn't reach it, the votes will move to Rodgers or Brady.

I have no evidence for this. Just my opinion.

Look im not trying to say that Romo sucks, Rodgers, Tom, JJ Watt all come 2 mind b4 Romo. Would DeMarco have this many yards? Would Romo have more TDs then Ints?...if it wasnt for the Oline, im just saying im giving the oline credit b4 i go callling Romo a MVP, in my opinion and i wasnt trashing th the op just stating my opinion

I'd love to see him be in the conversation just because he does deserve some recognition.

But with Murray doing what he's doing and 2-3 other QBs In the league playing lights out, I honestly wouldn't vote for Romo if I was unbiased.

Of course, he can have 6-7 straight good games, but one bad one and the haters will erase all the good as if that one game should wipe it out. He'll never really get his due because of established narrative. Just a little credit and that's fine. I sure know he doesn't care that much personally, so why should we.
Just win.

OP stated that Romo should be considered as MVP. I agree with him.

Then you stated that his performance wasn't MVP worthy.

I gave stats that stated it was.

I don't think your opinion holds much truth.

The OL will definitely get a lot of credit but even before the OL was built Murray was showing flashes of being very productive it's been the injuries that have held him back. In 2011 his rookie year he set a franchise record with 253 yards and the OL was far from where it is now. Tyron was in his rookie year as well that season. Murray put up 175 yards vs the Rams in 2012 and last season he had back to back games vs the Bears and Packers where he produced 146 yards and 134 yards so it's not like he's come out of nowhere.

Granted he might have to hit 2000 yards but if the Cowboys continue having the season they are and win the East Murray will be in strong consideration for MVP especially considering his blowing the RB competition away. He's doing some things that not even Emmitt did it's been pretty impressive.
