More Romo: "This is just about being smart. That's why I did it now. This will have no effect on training camp." Hopes to play in mini-camp

This DMN story has Tony Romo quotes on his minor back procedure, says he could be ready for mini-camp: http://j.mp/ZaeShS
ProFootballTalk ‏@ProFootballTalk 38m @RapSheet . . . "Minor procedure" means "procedure not performed on me or a family member."

@ProFootballTalk 1 of those where I type it & go, "It wouldn't be minor if it happened to me." In other news, the 1000th successful surgery!

I had one "scraped out" and it was horribly painful. For weeks I had to have gauze jammed in it to keep it clean. Then every week or so the doctor would go in and scrape the wound to check it out. It is as painful as it sounds because before the sraping they would have to numb the wound by jamming needles in it. I hope to never have one again.
Sounds pretty bad, but if he had to go through all that, you would never know. Romo downplayed the procedure as he's pretty far along in his recovery.HoustonFrog;5086951 said:I wonder if it was a Pilonidal Cyst. They occur in the lower back, upper butt region.
