Football is ruining Tony's looks.

Peyton missing minicamps in 2012 really killed his season working with new receivers.
I doubt he misses any minicamp. Cyst removals typically aren't a big deal.

Yeah, and if Peyton Manning can do it, any QB can...

If it was the same situation, you'd have a point. Peyton is very unique.
It's not the same though.

New team? no
New offense? no
New starting WRs? no

Plus, he's not even slated to miss mini-camps

It's always weird that these types of surgery don't happen earlier in the off-season.

Love how people can take something minor and turn it into some major crisis.

plus they had to make 100% sure it wasn't cancerous. I had one on my wrist, the doc told me to ignore it and it might go away over the course of years....and it did. Bugged me alot along the way though. Tony has the best health care next to the Prez....why not get rid of it and have no worries?

It's a minor thing that only flared up recently.

There is no conspiracy, cover-up, or spin.

I know one of the Cowboy's Docs.
This simply represents full disclosure.

Someone on twitter posted a cyst cut open on someone back. It looked horrible. Not saying it was the same as tony but definitely painful.

Then you should have responded to the other poster who brought Manning into the discussion to begin with lol...

My point wasn't that Romo will now struggle due to missing OTAs and maybe some of minicamp...my point was the idea that because Manning could overcome obstacles they shouldn't really be seen as obstacles at all.

Don't have much to say about the cyst removal, one way or another, but this is yet another good example of a relative deal being made about golf outings and planning sessions, when the reality is a more significant story had gone unreported (minor surgery to a franchise QB is a bigger deal than golf, I hope we all agree).

It just highlights how much of the real stories that go on with a team are not known at the time and may never be known. So much effort goes into reading what goes on on the surface, when most of what really matters is going on below the water level.

I wonder if it was a Pilonidal Cyst. They occur in the lower back, upper butt region. They can become disgustingly big and deep. I had one "scraped out" and it was horribly painful. For weeks I had to have gauze jammed in it to keep it clean. Then every week or so the doctor would go in and scrape the wound to check it out. It is as painful as it sounds because before the sraping they would have to numb the wound by jamming needles in it. I hope to never have one again.

My sister actually had that procedure done. I guess it was nagging her so much that she had to get rid of it. Couldn't drive or sit straight for weeks.
