A thread for those who like stats and/or trivia facts:

Romo now has 43 games in his career in which he has thrown for 300 yards or more.

He has started 106 games in his career.

That means that he throws for 300 or more yards in about 40 percent of games that he starts.

That's seems like an amazing statistic on the surface, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing that tidbit.

Its also worth noting that with yesterday's win Romo is now an astonishing 22-3 (if my math is right) in November. Best among any QB in the super bowl era.

Wow.

That's an amazing statistic. Much respect to him for that.

So what holds the team back after December?

I've heard he has a good record then, but I may be wrong. He certainly doesn't after December...

Well, let's hope he keeps it up. Wins against the Saints and Giants this November would be pretty huge.

Over the last 4 years Romo has the best QBR in December at 114.1...ready for this....wait for it,,,, 18 TD and 1 INT over that span. This is excluding 2010 when he was out with a broken collarbone.

The whole Romo folds in December thing is an ESPN myth nothing more.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding this, but didn't Romo throw 3 interceptions in last season's finale in December against the Commanders alone?

Thank you. I don't have a head for pure numbers. I'm more right-brained, being left-handed.

Now- that being said... My Question stands.

You are correct sir... I missed that game also the Saints game the week before it so that would make it 24 TD 4 INT over that span still dispelling the myth that Romo's play significantly falls off in the month of December.

I may be in the minority here...but I love it when we come into games with Romo slinging it around.

When Romo throws for 300 yards, 3+ TD and 0 INT, he is 5-4 in his career.

No other QB has ever lost as many as 4 times while putting up those numbers in a game.

I don't have a problem with that.

Romo is the team's best player. Hands down. No question.

Maybe he can be utilized better- I don't know. It's not my job to know.

But there are people getting paid serious, serious money TO KNOW.

And I see no evidence that they do.

Ouch. Then there is no reason to blame him in those 4 losses. Is there blame to give in the other losses? I ask.

I ask because I do not honestly know for certain.

Agreed...It's sad, because they are wasting his good days.

What is our won/loss record in those 43 games?

Wasting more than his days...

Wasting every Dallas Cowboys fan's days as well.

Does Jerry consider how much disappointment he's put on us fans since the Hey-Days?

Yes we won championships. An accomplishment some teams can not say to this day. I've witnessed several and appreciated every one of them.

But this- what we;ve become for the better part of two decades.

I wish this on no fan.

I know you are making a point and it's a good point, but I have to get this off my chest. That's good for Romo, but it really does not turn me on, because all I care about is the team. His accomplishments should be celebrated and acknowledged, really. I would like to note that I am not trying to be a jerk and I am not hating on Romo when I say this......I couldn't care less what Romo's stats are, if the team is cemented mediocrity. It just rings very hollow. I will say the same thing about Witten's HOF career, oh, add Demarcus Ware's HOF career. I just don't get excited about individual achievements, in light of the team's current state. Having said that, I am honored to have watched future HOFers in Witten and Ware play this game for my favorite team. In the end, I am right there watching their HOF speeches, but right now, their individual accomplishments are just that. And I don't mind saying, although I am happy for them and appreciate what they have done for this team, this stuff rings hollow, it rings very hollow. Just my thoughts....
