Wow.

That's an amazing statistic. Much respect to him for that.

So what holds the team back after December?

I've heard he has a good record then, but I may be wrong. He certainly doesn't after December...

Many theories...but often it's speculated that the team due to lack of depth wears down towards the end of seasons.

Over the last 4 years Romo has the best QBR in December at 114.1...ready for this....wait for it,,,, 18 TD and 1 INT over that span. This is excluding 2010 when he was out with a broken collarbone.

The whole Romo folds in December thing is an ESPN myth nothing more.

team sport.

I thought the Eagles game was start 100, wouldn't that put him at 102?

If I'm not mistaken, Romo started 11 games in 2006,

17 games in 2007,

13 games in 2008,

18 games in 2009,

6 games in 2010,

16 games in 2011,

16 games in 2012,

and 9 games this year so far.

That's 106 games.

I think the 102 number may refer to regular-season starts. Romo has started 102 regular season games and 4 playoff games in his career.

That makes sense.

If I had the time- I'd watch the last three seasons worth of December games in comparison to their November games and see-

We're they running ragged? Or is it something else....

Nobody has said for sure- so I'm assuming nobody is sure.

I keep harping on watching video in many of my posts- looking for specific things.
I ask for pro's to do so, I wish I could do so, do you think anybody does so?
You think the Cowboys do that?

Film review can show many things, but nobody has a definitive answer for these recurring issues.

Man- if only I was rich and had tons of disposable time...

Nah- I still probably wouldn't spend it watching Cowboys film. I'd be trying to fly a Skyrunner- with a head full of... exotic substances. Then land it in some friend's backyard. Just to say: Hey- like the landing? Peace.

Then take off and land at the nearest bar with several good screens showing multiple games and a lively crowd.

I can call a taxi from there.

Amazing stat! I'm a real fan in Romo and think his one of the best QBs in the league. Call me a homer but so what? I watch enough of the other teams QBs to know that Romo is special and very talented, and as a Cowboys fan, we are really fortunate to have him.

I do envy other teams that have better oline, running games, defense, passrushers, etc. than us though. Its amazing that we have failed to build an entire team on other positions besides QB. I figured that if you already have a QB, you can focus on other positions within the team. A good example is the Patriots in which they keep filling in the gaps in building good team after good team all because they have Brady.

Jerry and Co. has really squandered an opportunity of lifetime to build a dynasty around Romo. There is no excuse for what he did and if I had a choice, I would arrest him, throw him in jail, and throw away the keys. What Jerry did is a crime and he would have been fired long ago for his mishandling of the team.

Brad kept mentioning Sunday that the cowboys have not lost a non turkey day game in November at home in 9 years.

It's almost uncanny to me how, when Romo and the offense are on fire, the defense just falls asleep. They seem so consistent in doing this.

In December 2012 he only threw 4 interceptions, it just so happens that 3 of them were in the last game and it cost us the division and playoffs. He sunk the whole TEAM by himself in that last game.

Stats reveal a lot but what they hide can be critical.

When Romo throws for 300 yards, 3+ TD and 0 INT, he is 5-4 in his career.

No other QB has ever lost as many as 4 times while putting up those numbers in a game.

In other words our defenses have sucked for awhile.

That's it.

We haven't played good sound defense in years.

Injuries have been a huge issue but it still seems that it's more than that.

It's always something, in 09 romo threw for over 400 yards and a couple of touchdowns against the giants and we still lost in ny because of the defense and special teams.

The stats aren't hiding anything. Any game played during that time is included. That's why the INT total is 5 instead of 2 -- the total includes that game.

And you just said Romo's performance "cost us the division and the playoffs," which would mean the team would have earned the division title and the playoffs without Romo's poor performance in the last game. That makes no sense either.

Believe it or not, October has been Romo's worst career month. He has more December wins and a better TD-interception ratio than he does in October. I don't have the exact stats here, but I assure you this is the case. It's been largely covered up by his 22-4 November record thus far.

Interesting... Thank you for that. I did not know this before.
