In December 2012 he only threw 4 interceptions, it just so happens that 3 of them were in the last game and it cost us the division and playoffs.
Stats reveal a lot but what they hide can be critical.
The stats aren't hiding anything. Any game played during that time is included. That's why the INT total is 5 instead of 2 -- the total includes that game.
And you just said Romo's performance "cost us the division and the playoffs," which would mean the team would have earned the division title and the playoffs without Romo's poor performance in the last game. That makes no sense either.
He cost us the division title and a shot at the playoffs is what I was saying. It makes perfect sense. Had he not bombed that game, it would be very likely we would have won it. If he had just played the way he played the 3 games before, we would have won the game. But Romo chokes when the pressure gets too high, and that night it was too much for him even though we were playing a 30th ranked passing defense. When you look at stats on a paper you say, so he threw 4 ints in the month of December.. that isn't bad, but when you look at how 3 of those affected us, you will see that it was a BIG deal. That is what I'm talking about with regards to just looking at stats on paper and what they can conceal.
