Romo haters will get what they want soon enough...

While a change is needed..

You bring either one of those guys in. NOTHING changes..

It's the top shelf of the Organization that has to change.

By bringing in Cowher instead of some puppet, Jerry would prove that he is changing. Cowher would tell Jerry how to do it right with the Oline. Not bring in 7th round pick rookies, and undrafted free agents and start them on the line. And he wouldnt let Jerry go our and sign career backups to 5 million/year contracts to fill the void at guard either.

Yeah?

Like Parcells did?

Right.

You are correct that Romo is constantly behind the 8 ball. But if you cant critique Romo properly after a 5 pick night, then you have zero ability to be non biased and rational.

YOu would be better served by saying that Romo played terrible last night and leave it at that. It would do no harm to note that he didnt get any help from his teamates, but none the less, that was a bad game for him. He would man up and tell you the same thing. In fact, I am reading an article right now where he is manning up. Time for you to man up.

Tony can not be held to blame for at least 3 of the interceptions last night. The first one was simply Dez running the wrong route. Anyone that doesn't see that doesn't have a clue. On the second one, the ball hit Tree right in the hands and bounced into the air. The pass was not high. It was perfectly on target. It either bounced off of the receiver's hands or went through his hands and hit his chest. 100% on the receiver. Romo cannot throw and catch the damn ball. On the third one, Romo was running for his life and had the ball punched out from behind by a defender after fatass Bernardeau whiffed on yet another block. It really should've been called a fumble, but regardless, Romo was once again running for his life. None of those three can in any way be blamed on Romo. The final two happened after the game was over and Romo was simply trying to make something happen. The fourth one could very well have been Austin's fault. Not sure. I would think he should have crossed the DB's face and came in front of him rather than behind him. That's normally the way the receiver should've handled that situation, but again, not 100% sure on that one. The last one was definitely on Romo, but it was garbage time and the game was over. He was just trying to get a quick score since we were so far behind. Romo's teammates let him down once again and that's just the facts to anyone that actually watched the game and knows what happened.

It would be Bill Parcells all over again. Bringing in Cowher or Gruden would make it LOOK like Jerry is changing (and if he sees a drop in ticket sales or Victoria's Secret merchandise, he may need to alter appearances). What happens next is, Gruden/Cowher bring in and develop some talent which will take us only so far...the 'Boys start looking like a contender again, at which time Jerry (who is the biggest attention hustler in the history of mankind!) starts stalking the sidelines again, doing all of the interviews, managing socks and shoulder pads in the locker room, etc....in other words, getting involved where he doesn't belong...and the Cowboys go one-and-done in the playoffs again. Second year under Gruden/Cowher, the 'Boys fail to make the playoffs...and then... well, you know.

Wrong..

That 3rd turnover was all Romo.. It wasn't "punched" out. He was doing something desperate when the momentum was clearly in Dallas's favor. He needs to take that sack and live to play another down. He didn't.

That is my one Pet Peeve with Romo. He is still making dumb mistakes like that.

Do you people listen to yourself? :lmao:

Oh they do.. in fact, that's the reason half of them post.

I wonder what it will take for some people to realize that Romo is indeed part of the bigger problem. 10 INT's in a game? Another losing record in December? Continuing to miss the playoffs with a talented roster and offense?

Certainly this team has big problems that extend beyond our QB play.. but to say our QB play isn't a part of it is just living with blinders on. Romo made as many mistakes as Dez did last night, and missed two open receivers that would have been easy TD's. It has been sloppy all around on offense so far this season.. we just have to start finding ways to win games, not finding ways to lose them.

Hey I appreciate him a ton

I don't want to lose him. I don't wanna deal with 2001-2004 like seasons. In 2010 even when we won games after he got hurt they were just awful to watch

Fair enough on the Oline thing.

Cowher and Chucky. These are real coaches that arent learning on the job. These guys would come in with swagger. The first thing they would do is stack the Oline and get physical. Not the last thing. Garrett and Jerry have obviously targetted the Oline as a place they can save money and go cheap on talent.

You are right!

What I want = Romo traded and Jerry sells the team

I am torn I guess.

While, I wouldn't mind seeing Romo and others on this team win somewhere else.

I also don't want any other team to win with ex Cowboys players like the Romo's and Wittens, and Wares.hahaha

The ball was punched out from behind while he was running for his life. He's always running for his life and he normally has to make a play out of nothing. Get a clue.

Well stated.

Could we get any value in a trade like that? Might bring us enough draft picks to entice a real coach to come here. Romo isn't the problem, but perhaps he could be a part of the solution. We aren't going to do anything under this current regime, and he is frankly wasting his time here. Time for regime change IMO.

Why would we trade him? He doesn't sign and walks. A free man with a REAL opportunity without a half-wit owner. He isn't going anywhere this year.

Romo is being blamed for this mess. Unbelieveable. When the whip is cracked and the ogre yells 'stroke'...............Romo's the only one rowin'.

I have mixed feelings on this. If Romo didn't scramble and try to make something out of nothing, we'd never score. He's the best QB in the league at eluding pressure (which is simply constant) and making plays on the move. On the other hand, you are right that we gave the momentum right back.

Romo cut off extension talks for a reason. No way he signs long term with this mess here. He knows what lies ahead if he does. Horrible management. Incompetent coaches. WRs who don't even know the playbook or can read defenses. O-line one of the worst in the league, if not the worst.

He's human and he hears what the fans and media say and he knows a lot of this is not his fault. I think he's just tired of being the QB for the Cowboys and all that comes with it. And really, tired of how Jerry runs this team.

I don't blame him at all. A big Romo fan and he can succeed in another situation.

San Fran. Vernon Davis is alone in a room somewhere thinking about this.

Although even Cleveland would be a step up.

As soon as you stop watching the game through your glass stomach there boyo.

Romo should never try to shovel the ball forward out of the collapsing "pocket" again. Outside of that, he had a garbage time interception that was his fault, and the other 3 were clearly on the receivers. Gruden diagrammed all three of them and showed where they went wrong.

I hope Romo sticks around, only signing an extension if Jerry provides a real offensive line next year.
